I would probably rather have Angle than Benoit if I had to choose, but it is really too close to make much of a difference. I would have to turn one of A-Train or DeMott face though. Austin (1997) = wasn't APESHIT over until early 98 Rock (1999) = best in the business Angle (current) = great talent held down by lack of opposing talent Benoit = great wrestler, hard time getting over Hogan (1985) = huge, but didn't have ALL the fans behind him at this point Flair (1989) = supurb matches, but lacked platform (WWF) to get noticed Savage (1989) = top of his game, over as hell Steamboat (1989) = see: Flair I'll take group B Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Hogan could have great matches with all three of these guys after his prime (he did so with Flair & Savage, and I do not doubt he would with Steamboat). This is tough, but I have to go with Group B. Nobody wants to see Bret in the ring again, they just want to see Bret get a better send off, and farewell interview/clubbing of McMahon. Basically, we've got the best wrestler in the world today, a fat Samoan who pops the crowd, an up and comer that I would say has more potential than Nowinski with the right gimmick, and the greatest wrestler in WWF history who had an awesome 2001 and can still go if motivated vs. two cripples that can pop the crowd, a spot artist with little upside, and a rookie on par or a bit worse than Orton. Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted February 7, 2003 I like Jamie Noble and Matt Hardy but they are about equal with Christian and Lance Storm and Regal and Nunzio are similar as well. For me the big difference is Sean O'haire and Nathan Jones, Sean O'hair, at this point has the better character and is far better in the ring from all reports. Have to go with group A. Austin is still great when he's on and Benoit's the best in the ring there is. Rikishi sucks but he pops the crowd, and Orton is basically = Nowinski, so those two cancel each other out. Storm and Regal are boring as shit in the ring lately, Christian relys too much on restholds and reverse DDT's, and O'Haire may have a cool character, but he isn't very good in the ring. With B, Mattitude is a cool gimmick and he's decent in the ring, Noble is a mini-Benoit, Nunzio's good in the ring, and Nathan Jones is the same as O'Haire, cool gimmick but not good in the ring. Jamie Noble: See Matt Hardy Nunzio: Great worker and could get over with an FBI type character Nathan Jones: Could get over if just kept to vignettes with a manager to speak for him(A Bobby Heenan or somebody).
