Rob E Dangerously Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 After eight weeks, it's obvious that the second season has yielded many QB injuries on Madden 2K3. Such injuries could be bad, badder or baddest. QBs that are probable for play in week 9: Mike Vick (ankle) and Jay Fiedler (bicep) QBs that are questionable: Tony Woodbury (shoulder) Out: Tom Brady (abdominal strain), 2 weeks Donovan McNabb (broken jaw), 4 weeks Brett Favre (torn shoulder), 4 weeks Mark Brunell (broken jaw), 8 weeks Charlie Batch (dislocated elbow), 9 weeks Out for the season: Drew Brees (foot), Steve McNair (hip), Jake Plummer (tailbone), Peyton Manning (concussion), Chad Pennington (ruptured disk) It's just killing season on QBs! and it's letting QBs like Josh McCown (Arizona), Carson Palmer (San Diego, I renamed a guy to be Carson because SD drafted a QB and I don't have the NCAA game), Greg Zolman (Colts), David Gerrald (Jags), Billy Volek (Jets), Craig Nall and Glenn Foley (Packers) and Danny Wuerffel (Titans) play in actual games! It's fucked up.. just as long as my QB (Gus Frerotte) stays healthy. So, any massacres happening on your football video games?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I started a season as the Bills and Beldsoe got a season ending injury in preseason. That blew.
Rob E Dangerously Posted February 5, 2003 Author Report Posted February 5, 2003 The latest injury: Chris Redman, while his team was down 30 points, left a game for a few plays due to a leg cramp. and I beat the Ravens by the score of 63-10. Take that punk QBs, you got lucky that I didn't go for another TD when I had the ball with 1:50 left
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 The Skins were playing the Colts in the 3rd season week 9. Ryan Leaf was the QB because Manning was out for the Season, Marvin Harrison was out 4 weeks, Edgerin James was out 1 more week and there was 1 other O-Line player and 2 D-Line players out. Must be playing on turf lol..
Rob E Dangerously Posted February 5, 2003 Author Report Posted February 5, 2003 Heck, having Zolman as the Colts QB in my game was bad enough. It didn't help that he threw six interceptions, or that his team lost 73-24
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I've had a bunch of season/career ending injuries, but I've stopped keeping track -- hey, they're not happening on my team. Heh heh heh. I did knock Kurt Warner out for good two season ago with a popped ACL...
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Not Madden, but my Create-a-Player Halfback got a knee injury (not specified) in the Divisional Playoff game against Philadelphia and RETIRED AFTER HIS ROOKIE SEASON after setting new NFL records for receiving yards in a season, touchdowns in a season, and being #2 on the rushing yards in a season list in NFL Fever 2002.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Well, when I was playing in my season of NFL MAdden 2003 in my first season as the Houston Texans (I bought and traded for talent in the preseason, so I wasn't half bad during the season), my HB (who was me, might I add) that carried my team to the playoffs with his 2000+ rushing yards, 36TDs, and all that great stuffy got injuried after running in my game winning touch down in the semifinals of the playoffs. I lost my HB for the last game of the season. I ended up having to play without my star of my offense (HB). My QB (not Carr, cause he's Mr. Interception) played about 3 quarters before HE got hurt. Then following play, I lost my best WR (Bradford). So, I'm figuring I'm a sitting duck since I couldn't get Carr to do anything with my offense. Following that, I lost these following people on subsequent plays after their punt (as I managed to hold them): KR (SS), RG, and FB. Thankfully, I won the Superbowl due to a sack, 2 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions (2 TD returns) in the last quarter. It really wasn't my best day injury wise, but I was happy with my success.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I just had a rookie LB retire on me because of a career-ending concussion after just one season, and he was rated 80 overall! Now my LB overall rating for the team is 60.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Peyton Manning (concussion) Well... at least it's constant with real life... lol. I don't have 2003, but on my 2nd year with the Jags in 2002, I lost Fred Taylor for the entire year in preseason when he blew the shit out of his knee. As far as the other teams go, I thought the AI had gone nuts with the injuries. Here's a few that I remember: Dan Marino(I created him, also injured him too)- broken arm Eddie George- Major concussion Jevon Kearse- broken leg Chad Pennington- dislocated shoulder Ray Lewis- broken tailbone Steve McNair- foot Some Miami OL- torn ACL Emmitt Smith- dislocated shoulder That's about all I can remember off the top of my head and there's like 15 or 16 more, too.
Guest redbaron51 Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 i remembered playing St. Louis twice, and in each game, i injured Kurt Warner, as he suffers from finger-syndrome

Drew Bledsoe was injured when I faced him in the playoffs, so I beat Alex Van Pelt and the Bills
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 One year I was in the Super Bowl and my SS Adam Archuletta (sp) got a game-ending injury. I had to sub in my nickel CB, and I was going against a team that had an AWESOME passing attack -- came back from 20+ points to win by 2...
