Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 In order all time. Im listing six here. I think there is seven all together and feel free to add in/defile me for not including it. I seem to remember one on a Raw but have no idea who was in it. 1) Shawn Michaels - Taker Badd Blood the first still holds up as the best 2) HHH- Mankind No Way Out a fitting follow up to the I quit match 3) Armaggeddon 6 way All out action. A little tough to keep track of without a split screen. 4) Taker - Mankind King Of The Ring a lot of debate here. obviously very memorable but not that great of an actual match 5) Taker - Bossman this did not finish last cause at least it had hype and they tried for a stunning visual 6) Bossman - Al Snow forever besmirching the gimmick with neutered dogs
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 1) Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker ****1/2 2) Mankind vs. Undertaker **** 3) HHH vs. Mankind **** 4) Armageddon 6 Way *** 5) Undertaker vs. Big Boss Man * 6) Kennel From #### *
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 16, 2002 I dont think Bossman-Snow is a true HIAC since its also a cage match. On RAW in 98 there were two HIACs.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 Barron, do you remember the matches offhand? This is gonna pick at my brain now. The cage inside the #### may have been a good idea for maybe a blowoff to the Hardys-Dudleys feud at this year's Wrestlemania. I can picture them coming up with some innovative spots (maybe a table resting on a bar in the cell and the top of the inner cage).
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 The two HIAC matches on Raw were in June & August '98. The one in June was a tag team HIAC, Undertaker & SCSA vs. Kane & Mankind. Match was a no contest. Although Paul Bearer did a big time bladejob. The second HIAC was in August, Kane vs. Mankind. Mankind took a bump from the cage thru the announce table (Just like the one he did with HHH at NWO 2000). I think Kane won.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 Thank you. I had a feeling Kane was involved somehow.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 16, 2002 Does anyone else remember Mankind hitting the back of his head when he fell halfway off the side of the HIAC on that Raw?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 16, 2002 I'm not ranking Kennel from #### because it's not a true HiaC 1) Shawn Michaels - Taker Badd Blood 2) HHH- Mankind No Way Out 3) Armaggeddon 6 way 4) Taker - Bossman Wrestlemania XV 5) Taker - Mankind King Of The Ring
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 1. HBK vs. UT - Badd Blood 2. HHH vs. Cactus Jack - NWO 2000 3. 6-Man HIAC - Armageddon 2000 4. UT vs. Mankind - KOTR '98 5. UT vs. Bossman - WM XV 6. Snow vs. Bossman - Unforgiven '
Guest Metallica Report post Posted March 17, 2002 On that same Raw as Kane Vs Mankind, does anyone else remember that classic visual of Mick riding down the aisle on the stretcher? lol ####, he was going pretty fast
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 1. HBK-Taker 2. Foley-HHH 3. Foley-Taker (The "HOLY $HIT" factor makes up for bad wrestling) 4. 6-pack challenge at Armageddon 2000 5. Kennel in the Cell (only with the Foley commentary on Hard Knocks And Cheap Pops) 6. Taker-Bossman (No-Sell In The Cell, compete with a no-selling of death by Bossman)
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 17, 2002 1. Cactus Jack vs. HHH 2. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker 3. Angle vs. Austin vs. HHH vs. Taker vs. Rock vs. Rikishi 4. Undertaker vs. Mankind 5. Undertaker vs. Bossman 6. Bossman vs. Al Snow
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted March 17, 2002 1.) Cactus-HHH Truly a great match which I like to think of as Foley's last match even though he had 1 more. Great bumps, great phsycoligy, and GREAT buildup. 2.)HBK-Undertaker First, and most original of em all. Great bumping by Shawn and Undertaker looked like he was actually trying. Great ending even too, it was the only realistic way to have Micheals go over. 3.) Undertaker-Mankind-Amazing bumps. And even though the match technically wasn't "good," it still had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. That's what a match is supposed to do isn't it? 4.) 6 way-All out brawl, Rikishi falling onto a truck really wasn't as shocking as Mankind's bumps though, plus he only did one bump and onto a truck full of soft stuff, (hay?) 5.) Kane+Mankind vs. Austin+Undertaker Match on the RAW right before KOTR 98 (I think)where Austin just totally mauled Kane on top of the cage. 6.) Mankind-Kane The forgotten HIAC match, was actually pretty decent, with Foley taking a bump and not quite landing right for a sick visual. 7.) Bossman-Snow At least this match is so bad it's funny.... 8.) Undertaker-Bossman .....where as this was just so bad that it was just........bad.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 The Raw 1998 HIAC was a good one also. The Kennel one with Bossman was really bad. I didn't like it at all.
Guest Psychoticslam Report post Posted March 17, 2002 I haven't seen the Kane/Mankind RAW one, does anybody know where I could get a copy of it? Or is there a clip of the bump or even better, the whole match, on the internet?
Guest wolverine Report post Posted March 17, 2002 The only one that was good was Michaels vs. Undertaker, and it was in no way due to Undertaker.

Guest The Vanilla Midget Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Undertaker-Michaels so much better than everything else on the list Trips-Foley was ok, easily watchable and much better than everything below it Foley-Undertaker totally overrated match IMO. it had about 2 spots and everything else was just stalling or meaningless buildup to the spots. when i saw this match after hearing the hype i was very disappointed. 6 man- pretty shit but better than the rest taker-bossman absolute shit snow-bossman *worst match ever!*

Guest The Vanilla Midget Report post Posted March 17, 2002 What was wrong with Cactus/HHH? HHH thats stupid. im not hhh's biggest fan, but i will give credit where its due. while it isnt taker-michaels, it was definitely a good match, and easily the 2nd best on the list. It's not due, that's the thing. Next to RVD, he's possibly the most overrated guy in this business. He didn't make that match watchable, Foley did. HHH is the reason why the match with Austin last Feb. was below par. I guarantee you--you put Benoit in HHH's place, and you would have had a near ***** match. With HHH, you get a ***1/2 match at best.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Heh. Usually I hear about The Rock being carried by HHH and everyone else, not HHH being carried by everyone. If everyone thinks so little of HHH and Rock, who carried their Ironman match, HBK?
Guest wolverine Report post Posted March 17, 2002 "Heh. Usually I hear about The Rock being carried by HHH and everyone else, not HHH being carried by everyone." I remember Benoit carrying him in two matches in 2000. "If everyone thinks so little of HHH and Rock, who carried their Ironman match, HBK?" That match is another one of the most overrated matches of this decade. 60 minutes of pure boredom. The Benoit-Jericho match underneath absolutely smoked the main event. Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Neither one carried the Iron Man Match. They did well because HHH & Rock mesh well together.

I wasn't bored for a second...if you think so lowly of this match, what do you think of Bret and Shawn's '96 affair?

I wasn't bored for a second...if you think so lowly of this match, what do you think of Bret and Shawn's '96 affair? Bret vs. Shawn--Excellent match, bad booking. The match should have had falls during the match. Overall, in the ****1/4-1/2 range.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 I think that the HHH-Rock match beat the h@ll out of the Bret-Shawn one if only because there were actual FALLS during the match.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted March 17, 2002 I think that the HHH-Rock match beat the h@ll out of the Bret-Shawn one if only because there were actual FALLS during the match. As workers, HHH and Rock are like hamburger to Bret and Shawn's filet mignon, my opinion of course....
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 It's a distinction based on the type of match. An Ironman match without falls might as well be an hour broadway in Bill Watts' old Mid-South territory. Bret and HBK are better workers than Rock and HHH, but their egos f*cked up what could have been a classic match.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted March 17, 2002 whilst techinically taker/mankind isn't that great a match as shawn/taker or hhh/cactus it got me back into wrestling form an absence of years so it is kinda special to me. I still think Taker/shawn is the best.
