Movie helps

Hey, these two movies came to mind today and I can't remember the name. Maybe someone can help me. I will give as much info on each movie as possible but I don't think it will be much.

 

The first one is about a kid who plays a computer game but then it becomes reality and kills people. (I tried)

 

The second one is very old one about NES. At the end there are like 3 kids in a tournment to see who the best was. They were playing Super Mario Brothers.

 

I know that ain't much but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First one is Wargames, staring Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy (sp) and Dabney Coleman.  Pretty funny film

 

Second one is The Wizard with Fred Savage.  There were more then 3 kids in thr tournimant and it was just a corny way of introducing the world to Super Mario WOrld 3.  Like how the Second Might Ducks was a cheap plug for Disney's new NHL team

The first one could be Wargames or Brainscan.  If it was in the early 80's and had Matthew Broderick, it was Wargames.  If it was in the 90's and had the kid from T2, it was Brainscan.

 

The second was definately The Wizard.

You are referring to the final round which did have three people in it.

 

That was the round with Super Mario Brothers 3.

 

The earlier rounds used Ninja Gaidan.  And yes, I was a big fan of the movie as a kid.

True. I saw it when I was a kid. I doubt I will like it now but it might be cool to see it with my little cousin or something.

His first one kind of sounds like "The Ghost In The Machine" with Karen Allen.His second one is definitely the Wizard with Fred Savage from the wonder years
