SDown rating 3.3

Recommended Posts

Guest oldschoolwrestling

The 2/6 edition of Smackdown did a 3.3 broadcast rating, with a 5 share, according to Nielsen Media Research. That is up from last week's 3.2 and considering it went up against the Michael Jackson special on ABC, which did a 16.8 broadcast rating, I think it's a decent number.

Actually it isn't a good number. That 3.2 last week was due to it being preempted in several markets, so it should have been much higher. This means that the Hogan/Rock comebacks haven't done anything for Smackdown at all.

To be honest I think its kind of hard to decide if the number was good or not because the Michael Jackson interview is too much of a curveball. Especially considering that most times ABC barely beats Smackdown in the ratings.

Michael Jackson may be many things...but he doesn't suck.

Well at least he didn't use to, but he hasn't made any new music anytime recently so who knows he could suck now.

Funny that Triple H is such a draw but Raw can barely beat Smackdown ratings wise.

I mean it only is on in more markets and doesn't get prempted for local sports. Plus it doesn't have that other nasty habit of not being aired till Saturday.

Well Network ratings are different than Cable rating. I believe Smackdown actually beats Raw.

Don't ask me to explain the difference because i don't know.

Actually more people watched Smackdown than Raw.

Network TV and Cable TV ratings are different

A 1.0 rating for Network is equal to= 1,055,000 households

A 1.0 rating for Cable is equal to= around 800,000-850,000 homes

I always use this as a guide, a 4.0 for Raw is the same as 3.2 for Smackdown.

He is??? When was the last time HHH was such a draw? 2000???

Plus network and cable ratings are different..........does RAW actually beat Smackdown ratings wise??? I don't know how it would factor out.

That doesn't matter because each Network rating is worth more than each Cable rating.

Actually, I watched both and They each were very good. Although Jackson's case makes me sad.

Actually if you think about it, most people who are apart of wrestlings demographic, 18-24 year old males, how many 18-24 year old males give a damn about michael jackson?

True, I expect mostly 24-49 year old to be the ones whom have a interest in Jacko, growing up under his influence.

Raw seems to get to a lot of places that Smackdown can't.

I know it seems that way here, but actually UPN is available in more homes than TNN.

I actually thought Mad Dog's first post was sarcasm, but hey...

SmackDown owns Raw's slutty ass. Kinda sad, sometimes, when you think about the "big names" on Raw...

Sorry to be completely off topic here but...

El Satanico: Bloodsucking Freaks is one of the most disturbing films I've seen.
