Exactly...Which I used in my Card and added about 7 matches that seem to point there...

I'm going to go ahead and edit the 10 man out and use Bob's suggestion of Rhyno/Steiner...

I really only put Submission cuz I corelate Submission to Benoit and figured if there was any Gimmick...what environment would he best work in ya know...

They don't need to get fancy though- A straight up 1 on 1 who is better match would be just fine

Of course I agree..But This card is based on what direction WWE is headed and knowing WWE...they will feel that they need something gimmicky to market Dr. Dull.

As for Bob's Card...I really don't think we need a series of 4 Ways...It didn't work in 2000. I really don't see how Rock/Rvd will work...

I took out the 4-way and put it on HEAT but the RAW tag title match is just to get everyone on the card I guess.

Rock v. RVD could be iffy. Worst case scenario is Rock just destroys RVD on the mic and makes him look like a loser but it could really help RVD if they put him over Rock clean.

Guest Choken One

No. What I mean is...Do they make it inter promotional or what? Also...It seems your just doing fantasy...I'm sadly doing the reality...I'd love to see Rock/RVD at mania but that isn't happening...

Guest bob_barron

I'm doing a mixture of both.

Since Rock and Vince are aligned- Vince can move Rock to RAW to make it better or something.

Goldust/Kane could team up based on their hatred of Evolution and the fact that they are both freaks

Guest Choken One
Posted

True...But I have a low feeling Goldust an'it coming back as Goldust...

Besides...Do you oppose Austin/Rock III?

Guest bob_barron
Posted

Yes I do.

Austin v. Rock III does nothing. Why not use Austin and Rock to put over wrestlers who could need a boost instead of two megastars who don't benefit.

X-9 could be like Wrestlemania VIII where in the first three matches Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Taker were put over stars of the 80s and became stars of the 90s.

I can see your Rationale, and I amend you for acknowleging WMVIII.

I am asking you this...Would you still be entertained by another go around between these two?

Guest bob_barron
Posted

Absolutely. The match would kick ass and these guys are extremely entertaining so the feud would be fun to watch. Rock and Austin could be used better and Vince could save the match for a rainy day (ie a fall PPV)

Guest Choken One
Posted

True...and let's remember this...In reality...this is the secondary match of WWE's wants...They are apprently still fighting for Rock/Goldberg...

Which would allow an more sensible fued with Austin and HHH.

Thus screwing Booker in the process...

Hey! Maybe we can get Booker/Flair...just a thought.

Guest bob_barron
Posted

Another thing with Austin v. Rock- Rock playing the heel and Austin being the face is kinda fucked up since last time they met Austin, HHH and Vince beat the shit out of him.

I don't think Flair has any name value left so I don't think Booker going over him would do anything. I think Flair knows he's done. If they finally put Booker over Triple H- I will go absolutely apeshit.

As Dave Meltzer said- Why bring in Goldberg for a PPV that you don't need him for? If you're gonna bring him in- use him for the fall PPVs which due to Monday Night Football usually do lower buyrates

Guest Choken One
Posted

Or at least Summer Slam.

I know Flair might not have much name value but does Batisia and Orton have any? I seriously doubt that.

I wasn't dead set on it just a thought that popped in my head.

Am I the only one that sees Team Angle vs. Edge/Benoit vs. Guerreros vs. Red Dog/Cena in a fatal four way elimination match as the obvious choice for a SD tag title match?

It gets all those guys on the card and it makes sense build up wise.

These matches are all "duh" matches:

-Angle vs. Lesnar

-Jericho vs. HBK

-Hogan vs. Vince

I also see these matches as likely:

-Matt Hardy (CW champ) vs. Rey Mysterio (YES!)

-Austin vs. HHH

Possible:

-Booker vs. HHH

-Booker vs. Batista

-RVD vs. Kane

-Trish vs. Victoria vs. Jazz, or something

I don't have the faintest idea what they'll do with Steiner or Undertaker. They'll probably want Big Show on there somewhere too. And lord knows Dudleyz vs. Storm/Regal would be an abomination, but I can't see what else they can do for the tag titles. They'd probably just make it TLC or something. I really hope that they don't give Nathan Jones a spot on the card.

My fantasy booking would actually include Austin vs. Benoit and Rock vs. RVD (have Austin and Rock switch shows).

Also, I'd love to see Los Guerreros vs. Team Angle, possibly in a gimmick match--then have the Guerreros destroy Team Angle. Not in the sense that it's a squash, but in the sense that Team Angle is barely able to stand after the match (you could easily replace the Guerreros with Benoit and Edge). Then they say that Team Angle is too injured to accompany Kurt in the Main Event. Kurt cuts a promo about how he doesn't need Team Angle to beat Brock because the guy isn't in his league, and he goes on to face Lesnar solo. This way, Angle's credibility isn't completely shot when he does the job. (having him kick out of the F5 only to get pinned by a very desperate Brock busting out the SSP would do wonders as well, but while he'll probably kick out of the F5, we all know there's almost no chance of the SSP)

How are they going to pull Austin/Rock off? Moving Austing to Smackdown makes no sense, since RAW needs major draws right now. The only reason they won't go with Austin/Trips is because Triple H will want to win that one, and Austin won't job in his first match back.

Guest Just call me Dan
Posted

I don't want to see Triple H/Austin either, but Trips owes Autisn a job or two. I could care less who goes over there because that feud would establish nothing. HHH is so unbeatable right now, that austin de-railing his title run instead of someone that could use it would just kill his big rub he's been building up.

That's why they should do Booker v. HHH and put Book over crisp, clean with no caffeine

Posted

Here's my bets:

Guarantee's:

Hogan/Vince

Brock/Angle

Shawn/Jericho

Likely:

Austin/Rock

HHH/Booker

Team Angle/Benoit & Edge

Dudleys/Commonwealth

M. Hardy/Rey Rey

Possible:

Rvd & Kane/Batista & Orton

or

RVD, Goldust & Kane/Batista, Orton & Flair

Taker/???(My guess is Big Show)

That's 10 that are extremely likely IMO and I got no clue where Steiner, Guerrero's, Rhyno(If he's back) and Nash(If he's back) fit in.

Yes, thats what they SHOULD do. But thats not what they WILL do.

Triple H isn't gonna job to Booker anytime soon, let alone at a Wrestlemania.

I figure that we know we're getting this:

Lesnar vs. Angle

HBK vs. Jericho

Hogan vs. Vince

Here's what they should do:

Benoit vs. Rock, playing up the no respect for the business angle with the man who has sacrificed everything for it.

Knoble vs. Mysterio

Easy storyline to set-up, Knoble gets the title back and starts killing every one of his challengers' legs, get to Rey and just beats on that knee. Rey, coming off the knee injury is questionable for Mania (originally slated to be Edge's partner against Team Angle). Rey comes back, takes this match to leave Edge without a partner. For the title. Fifteen minutes. Please!

Edge and a mystery partner vs. Team Angle

Yes, I'm still pimping this angle. It involves turning Jericho on Christian as ericho grows more of a backbone on the RAW roster, setting him up with some time off. He comes back here, they win the tag belts giving Edge some time off from the singles push.

Austin vs. HHH, because I doubt they can do a good job with getting RVD or Booker in the position to challenge for the title and this isa ready-made to go, pre-packaged, and perfect feud to launch the Bischoff/McMahon storyline for RAW control.

Booker T/Golddust vs. Orton/Batista

I do not know who has the tag titles on RAW now, nor do I care, but if they don't run the Golddust/Booker break-up angle (which will turn this into Golddust vs. Booker and Orton/Batista defending against the dudleys) they should put the tag titles on these guys and prep a face team to go over.

Kane vs. RVD

RVD goes over, Kane's the heel, RVD can move on and start the re-tooling process.

For some reason I could see throwing Nathan Jones in there against The Big Show or Albert as well to showcase Vince's so called "pet project".

I will settle for nothing less than Booker T going over Triple H at Wrestlemania and finally winning his first world title despite Sting 1990 type interference from Triple H's group. It seems like all of the old timers who havent worked a house show in 8 months (Austin and Rock included) are coming back just in time to steal the big Wrestlemania paydays even though the company has a strong enough roster to not even need them. Here is what my card would look like...

Main Event: Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle

Semi Main Event: Triple H vs. Booker T (Booker finally goes over for the title)

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho

Hulk Hogan & Edge vs. Vince McMahon & Matt Hardy (why not use an otherwise worthless feud in the long run to bring Matt Hardy up to the level that fans seems to want him at)

War Games Type Cage Match:

Ric Flair, Batista, Randy Orton, Rhyno (or whoever member 4 of the group is) & Chris Nowinski

vs.

Scott Steiner, Rob Van Dam, Goldust, Maven & Test

TLC Match:

Lance Storm & Steven Regal vs. Jeff Hardy & Christian vs. Dudley Boyz vs. The Hurricane & Spike Dudley

Women's Title Match

Victoria vs. Jazz vs. Trish Stratus

Team Angle (Tag Team Champions) vs. Los Guerreros : 2-out-of-3 falls

Cruiserweight Elimination Match

Rey Mysterio, Shannon Moore, Jamie Knoble, Tajiri, Spanky, Billy Kidman, Crash Holly, Funaki

John Cena vs. The Undertaker

Chris Benoit vs. Nathan Jones

Sean O'Haire vs. The Big Show

Seems like a perfectly buyable card to me even if guys like Goldberg in the Rock don't steal all of the star power and then leave a month later.

It's Goldust- not Golddust.

How would you get Christian over to Smackdown!?

FYI the tag champs are the Commonwealth Connection.

The TLC gimmick is done. The last match was not at the level of the other three and I don't care to see another one.

Regal and Storm would just be death in a TLC match since neither of them really bump and they would look completely out of place.

Wasting Benoit on Nathan friggin Jones is criminal. I'd prefer Benoit take on Austin.

While I like the WarGames idea- I don't think the fans would think the face team has a hope in hell. Why not take out Maven and put in Kane.

FYI the tag champs are the Commonwealth Connection.

When were they OFFICALLY dubbed this?

They're still introduced simply as "Lance Storm and William Regal" on RAW and their name graphic is still the same.

I hate when people come up with their own 'cute' and 'cool' little names for people and groups. Its pathetic and annoying.

I've gotta re-work my card. It worked so well two months ago before the twenty face turns and seventeen title switches. Back when I had Benoit vs. Austin and Rock vs. Jericho.

Sorry Bif-

It's a name I came up with to dub the team and I kinda caught fire on the board.

Benoit v. Austin could still work face v. face. Austin could say he came back b/c he felt bad about what he did to Benoit or something

What......you mean like Los Guerreros which is actually being used now.

Commonwealth Connection is too much to type though.

Yeah, but Cole and/or Tazz started saying Los Guerreros, before it was actually their given name. Commonwealth Connection is just, like bob_barron said, a name around here.

A name that I made up.

::bows:

My idea for them is just a 4-way. Yea the match will most likely suck but they could either make Commonwealth mega over or put the titles on Evolution or Goldust/Kane
