Best match at mania

I personally think if they give Edge-booker 15 minutes, the match can be the show stealer. If it was 2000, then Jericho-HHH hands down but I am really worried about that match right now.

I'd say that Angle-Kane steals the show because Edge-Booker won't be booked properly (it will either be too short or have a crappy finish) and HHH-Jericho will be disappointing because HHH isn't back to his 2000-2001 form yet.

Maybe this match for HHH will be like the breakthrough match for him after his injury like the No Way Out of last year for Austn.

I'll do with Flair vs. Taker....just because the show IS that bad.

RVD/Regal could provide something interesting......

Edge/Booker should be good.....

Flair/Taker will have emotion and Flair's workrate to boot....plus as HBK and Bret have proved...UT can go if with the right person.

I'll also go with Flair/UT. Match will drag a good match out of Taker. All the other matches will either be too short or have stupid finishes.

Unfortunately, Flair is 20 years older than Bret or Shawn were when they were carrying Taker. Pray that taker is a broomstick!!!

God I hope so. Esp. since he'll be on every program and in every angle from here on out. If he's gonna be all over the tv, at least make it worth my while.

Christian Vs. DDP

I have no doubt in my mind that this could be the show stealer. I hope it goes longer than 5 minutes. DDP is a workhorse, and Christian is an amazing talent. 15 minutes and this match will be all good.

Oh yeah.....I forgot about DDP. He used to be one of my favorite wrestlers.....I hate what the WWF has done to him.......

Oh! Now I remember why I dislike Taker so much!

I think DDP v Christian or Edge v Booker can be the best match of the show.

I'd like to think Jericho/HHH would be the best, but with HHH not back to his best form yet, and the fact that Steph will probably get involved several ties in the match, i just don't think it will be as good as it could be.

Hey, HHH has had some ring rust but it's WM and at WM everyone cranks it up a notch, which should garuntee a show stealer from Y2J and HHH.

I don't think everyone cranks it up a notch at Mania. It's more like "Everyone SHOULD crank it up a notch. For every Mania classic, there have been some pitiful matches.

As for DDP-Christian, I think it will be more like Eddy-Test from last year where they get 8 minutes to do their thing with little substance, and no foot stuck in the ropes.

I don't think that HHH will be able to crank it up so soon after his long injury.  It took Austin 5 PPVs to get better than he's been in years.  HHH is only on his 3rd PPV back and his legs are taking a greater strain than before because he put on probably another 20-30 pounds of upper-body mass.

Not only is HHH going to be readjusting his legs to his new muscle mass, but he's also going to have to switch up his wrestling style because his new mass is more suited for power wrestling, a la Sid or Vader.

"a la Sid or Vader."

vader I can handle, but please for the love of God, do not even put that thought into his head. The last thing we need is Trips pretending he is Sid. That's some scary shit!

I'd love to see him powerbomb a small guy like Spike Dudley into the top of the Wargames cage...  Doing that to Pillman was probably the highlight of Sid's career, next to being carried like luggage at Survivor Series 1996 and given the WWF title.

Teke, I just saw your post for the hardcore match thread. Tiger Ali Singh? Sid? Are you trying to punish the workrate Gods with the mention of suck you have brought forth?

And if anyone is gonna get banged into the top of the cage, why not Steph? :)

What I'm talking about in some cases is getting good matches despite the sh!tty workers.  That's why I love the Hardcore Battle Royal so much;  It had some of the worst wrestlers in the WWF yet was a LOT of fun to watch.

I REALLY don't want to see Tiger Ali Singh (or that Lo Down costume for DLo), but it would be impressive to have a good match that he's actually involved in.

And as for the mentions of bad workers, I've spent the past two days watching old WCW tapes from the early 90's.  Between Eric Bischoff dressed up as Count Fagula and the Chamber of Horrors match (both at Halloween Havoc 91), I think I need to exercise the anti-workrate demons from my system.

Hmmm...

...I think Flair/Taker has a chance.

Flair actually put on a really good brawl with Vince.  If he can do it with Vince who can barely bump, he can do something pretty good with Taker (who for all the criticism he recieves is really pretty decent).

It'll be fun to see RVD win the IC title, and RVD matches are always exciting regardless of his opponent.

Booker vs. Edge *should* be good, but for some reason I don't see it happening...

I love Tiger Ali Singh.  I want him to come back soon.

Best match ... Hogan/Rock, DDP/Christian or Booker/Edge.  Besides the IC match anhd maybe Undertaker/Flair, there's nothing on the card I don't think I'd enjoy.

Well I won't be suprised if UT turns out to be worse than a broomstick.....

Some people just shouldn't try to crack jokes.

God I hope that was a joke.

And there are a lot of matches on the card that have a potential to be pretty good. Just not great. I don't see any 5-star classics coming from this Mania. #### I don't really see any 4-star matches coming out of it.....

RVD Regal has potential, as does DDP/Christian it'll be a solid show all round anyway.  Like people have said i doubt *5 classics will be made.

I'm hoping for HHH/Jericho or RVD/Regal to be the better matches...

Edge/Booker, Christian/DDP, and the Tag Team match have some potential.

Considering the WWF is banking on Rock/Hogan, I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up to be the best of the night.

Christian/DDP seems to me like they could put up a great match wrestling wise. HHH/Y2J will probably deliver. Also, I think in the Maven/Goldust hardcore match, some big bump will happen.

Christian/DDP could be the best of the night.  They are both hard workers, and if given at least around 10 minutes, I could possibly see this in the **** range.

If Christian/DDP flops due to getting no time, and making Christian look like a jackass, I think Edge/Booker would be the best.

Angle/Kane will be good if it's comparable to their past matches.  For some reason though, I have this awful feeling that Kane will no-sell and squash Angle for the sole reason of pissing me off.

I have got to go with Triple H versus Chris Jericho.  It is obvious that the WWF reads dirtsheets and internet rambling, and all signs point to a sudden hatred for HHH and his workrate.

This cannot sit well with the Game.  I think he WILL crank it up a notch, deliver, and Hebner will send Steph backstage before she can do anything.  They used to do that all the time with Chyna, and it would be a good face moment for HHH, taking away Jericho's supposed advantage in having Steph in his corner.

Good luck HHH.

Angle - Kane and HHH - Jericho should be very good...and call me crazy but I'm expecting a good match from Hall and Austin. They've been working the house shows together and getting good reviews and pops and Austin has that work amazing ethic..plus its Wrestlemania so he'll turn it up another notch. And hey, Razor isn't THAT bad. You never know, it could be the sleeper match of the night.
