Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted March 17, 2002 I was just watching WWF Excess (yes I was that bored) and Coach mentioned that Maven would defend the Hardcore Title against Goldust at Wrestlemania. Wow, announcing matches the night before on a show no one watches, shows how much build up there is to Wrestlemania. So, what do you think of this additional match at WM? I personally think Snow vs. Maven or a battle royale (WM 2000) would make a lot more sense and be a lot more entertaining than this match. Oh well, I'm ok with it as long as Goldust knows his role and falls to the MAVEKICK.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 They should of just done the Hardcore Battle Royal. Either way Maven vs. Goldust will probably turn into the "Throw whoever isn't wrestling into the match".
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 I'd LOVE a Hardcore Battle Royal because it would put Maven in a role that is more realistic than he's had before. (He'd be running for his life, which is what a rookie SHOULD be doing before they've developed their skills fully.) Besides that, the Hardcore Battle Royal at WM 2000 was a good match considering the talent involved. Who thought they'd ever see a ***+ match involving Viscera, the Mean Street Posse, and Chaz (Headbanger Mosh)? The only way to make it even more amazing would be for other useless lumps like Tiger Ali Singh be invovled and not have it hurt the match.
Guest Metallica Report post Posted March 17, 2002 No! No! Noooo!! Not the MAVEKICK! *IGN flashback* What I didn't understand was that they were acting like Al Snow beating Goldust for the HC title was an upset. How many times has Al won that belt in the past or do they not remember 1999 anymore?
Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Let me get this straight, Maven is at Wrestlemania while Raven, Dreamer, and countless others, that deserve it more, are setting in the back doing absolutely nothing. Wow McMahon is a genious....... Tough Enough is a big crock of shit. When did Wrestlemania lose all of the glory it once had?
Guest Metallica Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Good point. Surely Raven Vs Dreamer in a wild match would be more entertaining than Maven Vs Goldust and his oh so creative gold trash can lids? Raven has a theme on the new WWF CD though so that would, you'd assume, indicate that he'll be back on TV soon..
Guest Laizen Report post Posted March 17, 2002 I'm surprised they didn't make it Show vs Snow vs Maven vs Golddust.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Expect them all to run in.
Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Expect Big Show, Al Snow, and whoever else isn't on the card already to do a run it.

Guest JAMES900 Report post Posted March 17, 2002 While raven and dreamer are more deserving Maven is over at the moment.

I don't understand why everyone wants these talentless hacks from ECW on TV so #### much.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Surely Hurricane deserves to be there.

I could have said Kidman, or someone else that isn't being used at the time, but I chose to say Dreamer and Raven, because they were the first to pop into my head. It has nothing to do with ECW, it has to do with people that should be used but aren't.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted March 17, 2002 Kidman should be used. Raven should be used in the undercard. But Dreamer!? He shouldn't be used at all.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Dreamer shouldn't have been hired in the first place really. Raven should be part of a tag team, with Saturn or Kidman maybe.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 18, 2002 What's sad is that the Hardcore title has a better story surrounding it then friggin Hogan-Rock or Trips-Jericho. I don't see how they can expect Dustin to carry a rookie. Hopefully, it turns into a big shmoz with Al Snow and tazz involved somehow.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Excluding the people who haven't been on TV since Survivor Series.... Does it bother anyone else that Maven vs. Goldust is on the ppv...and Storm and Perfect will be on heat? What about Tajiri (who IS a #### champion) and Hurricane (Who IS over)? I hear Big Show is at WWF NY tonight...so... the following people will run in on the hardcore match: Al Snow (for sure) Tazz (probably) (a Tough Enough reunion) Spike (he needs something to do after getting squashed on Raw...they were tag champs just weeks ago...) And maybe Crash Holly for nostalgia...and Hardcore could always show up too. But Tajiri and Hurricane won't...they got screwed the most.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 18, 2002 "Does it bother anyone else that Maven vs. Goldust is on the ppv...and Storm and Perfect will be on heat?" No, it bothers me Storm is in the same match as Test and Rikishi. "What about Tajiri (who IS a #### champion) and Hurricane (Who IS over)?" Hence, my cruiser thread outburst.
