CZW Results

Recommended Posts

Guest Sandman9000

First off, no Jimmy Rave, no Tony Mamaluke, no Justice (one of the guys from Florida who was supposed to be coming in), and no Kevin Sullivan. They're all supposed to be in CZW next month, in theory.

Now, the results, stolen from the CZW fans board.

First Match: John Dahmer vs Jude

Dahmer won with his "Move of A Thousand Maniacs."

Niles Young interfered, and He and Jude double teamed Dahmer until Corey Kastle ran down to help Dahmer.

Rebel's Army came to the ring and cut a promo on how crappy Zandig booked matches. Zandig came in and basically said it was his company and they could screw off. Rebel's Army beat down Zandig until Tatanka/Heartbreaker/Wifebeater made the save. Zandig set up a match for later on in the show between Rebel/Matthews and Tatanka/Heartbreaker with Zandig and Wifebeater at ringside.

Match Two: 3 Way Tag Match

Hurricane Kid/Derek Frasier vs Styles/Z Barr vs Ian Knoxx/Adam Flash

ZBarr did the "ZBarrThriller" on Hurricane Kid and they were eliminated. Finish saw Flash hit the top rope leg drop on Styles for the victory.

Match Three: GQ vs Tai Smiley

GQ won in a squash. Said to be a train wreck.

Match Four: Livewire vs Mike Mayhem vs Grim Reefer

Grim Reefer won with a top rope move. Good match.

Match Five: Nick Berk vs Stefan Perez - Submission Match

Good match. Berk won with his cloverleaf submission.

Match Six: B Boy vs Ric Blade

B Boy wins when Kashmere runs in and Blade gets struck with the bat.

B Boy rolled up Blade for the victory.

Match Seven: Sonjay Dutt vs Ruckus - w/ Guest Referee Chris Cash

Good match. Ruckus went to superflex Sonjay when Chris Cash knocked both men from the ring trough an outside table. Chris Cash declared the match a no contest as he held the title in the air.

Match Eight: Rebel/Matthews vs Tatanka/Heartbreaker w/ Zandig and Wifebeater at ringside. Tatanka dominated the match, and Zandig and Wifebeater demolished Rebel and Matthews. Finish saw Rebel hit Heartbreaker with a "chain" on his fist, and He then put Matthews on top of Heartbreaker for the win.

Match Nine: H8 Club vs Backseat Boyz- CZW Tag Team Championship Match

Really good match. The finish saw The Backseats double team Gage for the victory. The Backseat Boyz are the new CZW Tag Team Champions.

After the match, Messiah came to the ring and celebrated with the Backseats.

Match Ten: The Messiah vs Nick Mondo

During the course of the match, Messiah used a chair heavily on Messiah and put Messiah through two tables. Mac Smack brought a tin to the ring and gave it to Mondo. Mondo emptied thousands of thumbtacks onto Messiah and began to stomp them in. Mondo then hit a legdrop onto the thumbtack covered Messiah for the victory.

The Backseats, B Boy, and Dewey hit the ring and destroyed Mondo. Messiah throws the Ironman Title to Mondo and said "He (Messiah) didn't say what title the match was for." The H8 Club, and Wifebeater hit the ring and chased Hi V (pronounced High Five) to the back. Mondo said that he was going to bring honor back to the Ironman Title.

Thoughts

Motherfucking Tatanka? Why?

Lots of new faces. Aside from B-Boy, wonder who else will become regulars. (Hopefully not Tatanka)

New tag champs, new Iron Man. See how that goes.

Early opinions on the show is that it was one of the worst CZW shows in recent history. (By recent, I mean Viking Hall and after) Not sure how BSB/H8 Club and Mondo/Messiah were able to save it.

No deathmatch apparently. Ah well.

LOTS of no shows. Doesn't look good for CZW. They need to absolutely hit a motherfucking 600 foot Grand Slam next March, or they're going to lose a lot of their fan base, if this show didn't already.

XPW might actually have a better show then CZW this month. No way CZW was better then ROH, and I doubt XPW will either.

So 1 or 2 bad shows can lose CZW its a good portion of their fanbase? That doesn't sound like to great of a fanbase to begin with if they can't let 1 or 2 bad shows slide.

I've been getting bored with CZW lately, they keep bringing in too many new young guys that aren't that impressive. I've been bored with the indy scene as a whole the last 6 months or so.

It's the Philly indy scene in general. It's so competitive, you have to keep cranking out great show after great show, or else people will decide to spend their money elsewhere. There will always be the die-hards that will attend every CZW show or every XPW show or every ROH or 3PW show, but it's the ones who have to decide whether to spend their money on going to ROH vs. XPW, or 3PW vs. CZW, and ect. are the ones that you have to win. You have a great show, they hear about it, and they'll be more inclinded to check it out. You have a shitty show, such as the one last night, and they'll be more inclined to see a different promotion then yours.

3PW has diehard fans? Those poor, pathetic people.

The CZW show sucked last night. I made a post on the CZWfans board ("What a dissaponting show") about it, and actually had some of the CZW marks agreeing with me.
