Guest goodhelmet Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Man, as critical as I've been of this year's Mania, I'm having trouble deciding what will be the worst match. I think Rock-Hogan will have great heat for 5 minutes until Hogan stinks up the joint and the crowd just turns on him Other than that, I'm gonna go with the 4way tag match. I also think that Jericho-HHH has the most potential but will be too overbooked to be any good.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 The only match that I don't anticipate it the triple threat female match. I'm pretty sure that match won't have too many good qualities. Can anyone say "Piss break?"
Guest teke184 Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 The Lugz Official Piss-break of the Night will be either Maven vs. Goldust for the Hardcore title or the 6-man tag match (provided it's not on Heat).
Guest BA_Baracus Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Maven vs. Gold-dust isn't on the show. I think the Y2J vs. HHH match. It's kinda sad. It has the potential to be a classic if they just let them wrestle, but it's going to be so over-booked that it's just going to suck. I think Flare vs. Taker could actually be the match of the night. Plus it will be cool to see RVD win the IC belt. Otherwise, there's not much that I care about on the show...
Guest midnight_burn Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 I think the Tag Title match will probably be the worst match. HHH/Jericho could be as well, it'll depend on just how much Stephanie is involved and how much overbooked melodrama is in the match.
Guest BA_Baracus Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Tag match? How so? Hardyz vs. Dudleys is always a good match (even with those other 4 guys tossed in). ...and the tag match will probably be one of the few matches without a screwed up finish.
Guest One Bad Apple Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 I don't know why anyone would take a "piss break" during something they're (possibly) paying for unless you really have to go. Even if I don't care much about a match I'm going to sit and watch it. Why not just make the trip before the show starts? As for worst match, I'd say the Intercontinental Title. I think everything else'll be pretty good. Maven vs. Gold-dust isn't on the show. Yes it is. And what the heck is "stubby fever"? Can anyone say "Piss break?" What a fucking dork you are.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 The worst match will be either the Triple Threat women's match or RVD/Regal or both. If the womens match sucks, it's alright since most womens matches aren't great, but RVD/Regal could very well suck due to the style clash.
Guest The Vanilla Midget Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 eh, rvd-regal should be watchable at least. hogan-rock will suck, as hogan wont be able to go beyond 10 mins tops, but they probably want it to go at least 20. by the time thats over, the crowd will have absolutely fallen asleep.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Austin/Hall has the potential to be terrible, given how little Austin wants to be in there.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Austin/Hall, Triple Threat, 4-Way, and Rock/Hogan can all end up sucking pretty bad.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 Rock/Hogan & Hall/Austin will be the two worst matches.
Guest Posted March 17, 2002 Report Posted March 17, 2002 I think HHH/Jericho has all the ingredients to be really bad. First off, you know Steph will constantly involve herself in the match, making herself look stronger than both H and Jericho. HHH has been really sluggish since he's returned, and he hasn't improved at all. Jericho will have to carry this match, and I feel with all the pressure on him, Jericho will choke and fuck up late in the match like he has numerous times. Flair/Taker will not be good. Yes, Flair used to be the man, but he's very old. Flair is not a miracle worker anymore. Taker can't even sell Flair's chops at all. The only thing that has interested in this, is the awesome setup to the match. Women's match would be tolerable if it was just Trish/Jazz. Lita is death. It's really sad since Amy has a lot of talent. Drugs are bad. Lita is bad. This match will be bad. Austin/Hall will probably be bad, just because Austin will probably not give a shit. Austin will probably put in a performance like he did against Perfect on RAW a couple weeks ago. Nash will lug his sorry ass in the ring, thus furthering the believe that all tall men are slow, worthless slugs. I see the rest of the card being OK, including Hogan/Rock.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Put me down for Jericho vs. HHH Now people will inevitably give this match at least *** because of the people involved (just like Angle vs. HHH somehow got passing reviews from No Way Out) Steph...ref bumps...interference...Steph...HHH won't even be the goddamn face(not that he's over in the US either) And HHH will probably win. Complete waste.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 It's horrible if you think how good HHH v Jericho in their last man standing match last year was (easy ****1/2) and how bad this threatens to be. Stephanie not being involved could save it, but I'd give it about 10 mins at max before she interferes.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 The Lugz Official Piss-break of the Night ™: Kane vs. Angle
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 "Stephanie not being involved could save it, but I'd give it about 10 mins at max before she interferes." You are being far too generous. I think she gets more airtime than Jericho. As for Kane-Angle, I know you are bitter Anglesault, but there's far more worse matches that will take place tonight. Just pray that once the imaginary split takes place, Angle is on the Smackdown side.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 As for Kane-Angle, I know you are bitter Anglesault, but there's far more worse matches that will take place tonight. I think Kurt was able to carry Kane's worthless ass twice, and the third time will be a charm and Kane's suck will prevail.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 But worse than Hogan-Rock? or Goldust-Maven? or the shitty 6man tag? or an overbooked mess of the Trips-Steph match? I just don't see how Kane's sucktitude could be more overwhelming then the suck overshadowing those other matches.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Kane winning will kill the match for me. Why bury tour main event talent? Why Vince? Why?
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Best Match: Angle v. Kane Worst Match: Maven v. Goldust
Guest Anglesault Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 But worse than Hogan-Rock? or Goldust-Maven? or the shitty 6man tag? or an overbooked mess of the Trips-Steph match? If Kane's winning (Which it looks like he is) Then he will no sell all of Kurt's offense so he can do the God Damned Chokeslam in the end.
