Personally I was hoping for a group of Nunzio, Knoble, Tajiri and Nidia to form. With Knoble being the singles star and Tajiri and Nunzio being the tag team and fueding with the other crusiers and the Smackdown 6.

Well, I think anyone who is not in a feud or does not have an established gimmick is a candidate, considering there are only one or two stereotypical possible 'mob' members.

The only guy on Smackdown right now that I can think of is Palumbo, and that would be stupid and make no sense.

 

I don't think anyone is coming up from the minors. If they are, I'd go with Doug Basham, who I think would also be most likely. Damaja or Matt Morgan maybe, too.

 

I think Jonah will be signed in three months at the latest, since I read that WWE were high on him. And even if he is signed, let's say ... tomorrow, I doubt he's getting a spot on the main roster faster than the two TE3 winners.

 

Tony Mamaluke coming in would be cool, but I would rather he does his own thing.

 

If Kanyon comes back for some thrown-together connection with Nunzio, that will be quite a letdown. But I'd say that's the second most likely.

 

Best and most likely option to me is Stamboli, who I don't recall being released, and thus don't think he was released. He's on Raw (Heat actually), but the most he's ever done was a cup of coffee with the Hardcore Title the night Eric Bischoff debuted. They've also made allusions to mob connections on commentary, but that was just probably trying to give him a quick background (and all Italians are mobsters). And since he hasn't been on Heat in a while, I'm guessing it's because they're just prepping him to go to Smackdown, just like what happened with Shelton Benjamin.

You know, now that you mention it, it could be just Nunzio bringing in some indy workers to try beat up Rikishi for him, and Rikishi ends up crushing them all in a super handicap match or just a non-match. And then Nunzio and him fight at the PPV, which will be awesome since with Hass/Benjamin/Angle/Lesnar/Edge/Benoit all rumored for a six man, this is Nunzio's best shot to get one PPV under his belt before he gets released after next year's Wrestlemania.

 

That would be gay though, even if it lets Nunzio get on PPV.

Are you sure? Vincenzo and that other guy both seemed like cowards. Nunzio shouldn't be hanging around with a couple of STOONAHDZ, either.
