Guest ConchairtoHead Report post Posted February 10, 2003 Would Shane O Mac be a good "long run" face owner of RAW? I seem to think a Heel would do a better job. I put my Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania Plaque on Ebay.. want the link? Here it is!
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted February 10, 2003 We'll probably see neither, especially if Stephanie will continue to have an undefined role on Smackdown as well. On some weeks, Steph will display heel qualities, and then the next week pander to Lesnar, Edge and Benoit. If I had a choice, I would go with a face Shane and a heel Stephanie. They will be able to balance the picture better (Raw has more heels on top, Smackdown has more faces on top).
Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted February 10, 2003 I would love it if they tried to run a show WITHOUT an on-air owner for a while.
Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted February 10, 2003 if we're going to have an on air owner I fail to see what's wrong with Bisch, surley Shane would be better replacing Steph
Guest Aecas Report post Posted February 10, 2003 Good idea, get rid of Stephanie and put Shane in place of her.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted February 10, 2003 Don't you worry about Steph. It's only a matter of time until we find out that she was the actual Master-Mind behind Heyman and it was her idea to Put Team Angle together. That way she can be in Angle's Corner at WM, then she'll throw us another swerve and turn on Angle during the match and help Brock get back "his" title. Revealing that it was her idea to trick Heyman and Help Brock. Because we all know damn well that this angle will have to be helped and saved by Steph. Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted February 10, 2003 I guess I fail to see how entertaining ANOTHER McMahon on TV will be.
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted February 10, 2003 What is pissing me off about this Bischoff-McMahon storyline and the possibility of Shane McMahon taking over Raw is that it really doesn't seem clear WHY Bischoff is on the hot seat in the first place. Vince gave him an abiguous dressing down that basically just said that Bischoff hasn't made Raw a blow-away show, that it has only been "good." What exactly has Stephanie done with Smackdown that Bischoff hasn't done with Raw? Wait- I've got it. Smackdown now has spiffy silver ringside banners and stairs since she took over. THAT is edgy. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 10, 2003 I could care less really. Wrestling's just been routine lately. It's stupid to constantly have heel bosses. Eric was a heel, and Steph won't make up her mind. I wish there would just be a backstage match maker, and they'd only use the GM for important cases...fuckin Bischoff stated this in the first place in WCW. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted February 10, 2003 AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!! FearHavoc! YOUR WORDS ARE LIKE A THOUSAND DAGGERS! TAKE THEM AWAY! Dear GOD that Stephanie angle is SO going to happen. 1)The Less McMahons on TV the better 2)Owner Angles suck 3)HEEL owner Angles suck

Yeah--or at least have an entertaining GM like Bisch was at first. I miss Mick Foley as Commish.

Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 10, 2003 For once I'd like Shane to stay either face or heel. How many times has he came back a face, and two weeks later turned on someone and became a heel.
Guest SPwasmurdered Report post Posted February 10, 2003 I disagree. Smackdown is a far superior show. The crowds seem to have a better time, the wrestlers get better reaction at Smackdown related events (Benoit's standing O', anyone?, just general crowd reaction on TV). I mean, I can tell you straight up that last year's Thanksgiving SD had little no zero canned heat. I was there. Hot crowd. Hotter than the one at the RAW the night before, which I was also at. Smackdown is superior to RAW. I think that WWE is playing on the fact that most fans, smark and mark alike, already know this. In a way I think it's a bit of a nod to us. "Yeah, we know." Problem being they might not actually try and fix it. Though if the Nitro swerve ever comes I'd expect it to come out of this.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted February 10, 2003 I like the idea of NO on-air GM or Owner, besides maybe dropping by via satellite or showing up maybe once every 2 months for something REALLY important.
Guest D'Lo White Report post Posted February 10, 2003 Why is everyone still complaining about Steph like she still hogs the whole show. She's only on for 1 short bagkstage segment a week? As for Bisch, I don't really care as long as Chief Morley gets fired.
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted February 10, 2003 It's because in pretty much every segment she is in, Steph is portrayed as being smarter, harder and tougher than everyone else. All the heels back down to her, and all the faces kiss her celulite ridden ass. As for Shane coming back, I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact that you know it'll soon lead to McMahon v McMahon part 547823857295093.
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 10, 2003 I long for the days of WWF Superstars, where figurehead Jack Tunney would come out only 3 times a year to hand out edicts from the powers that be. how hard is it to run RAW without having some talking head "making" matches during the program? The only reason I see that happening now is because the writers got fat and lazy off the success of Austin v. McMahon, and now they don't know how to close Pandora's box. Just have the commentators announce the matches at the top of the broadcast, show some 30 sec. vignettes outlining only certain matches (mostly the grudge type, or perhaps for a title match), and then conentrate on the wrestling. No need for evil bosses or GMs complaining about ratings and such. As an aside, they should really implement in-ring interviews instead of in-ring promos for the more vocally challenged wrestlers. It's easier to keep them short and to the point, instead of ending up rambling and losing their trains of thought and boring the crowd to tears. Plus, the more heelish interviewers can play subtle shit disturbers and rattle the face interviewee a moment before his nemesis blind-sides him. Great way to illustrate the wrestlers' motivations, goals, etc. with minimum effort and the benefit of live audience reactions. It really can be that simple.
