GE Smith (it says performer, and he was a staple of the late 80's/early 90's band) Special mention: Charles Rocket Worst ever: Colin 'Remote Control' Quinn
cawthon777 Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 Dennis Miller Mike Myers Phil Hartman Dana Carvey Will Ferrell Chevy Chase Adam Sandler Dan Akroyd Bill Murray Chris Farley

Guest starvenger Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 Note: I'm not real familiar with the original cast... - Phil Hartman - Dan Ackroyd - Eddie Murphy - Will Ferrell - Dana Carvey - Mike Myers - Jan Hooks - Ana Gasteyer - Dennis Miller - Kevin Nealon I feel bad for not having more women on here... Honourable mentions: - Alec Baldwin and John Goodman, because even though they're not cast members they might as well be.
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 I think it's impossible to make the list without Will Ferrell.
Guest Eagan469 Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 My 10 (no particular order): Phil Hartman John Belushi Chevy Chase Gilda Radner Kevin Nealon Chris Farley Mike Myers Eddie Murphy Molly Shannon Will Ferrell
Guest godthedog Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 phil hartman hohn belushi mike myers dana carvey eddie murphy chris farley bill murray gilda radner dan akroyd harry shearer joe piscopo *note: i really don't find any of the current cast members funny enough to make the top 10. *note: although the early 90s cast and the 70s cast got the same amount of entries, the 70s SNL was better overall (mostly thanks to the writing).
Guest starvenger Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 *note: although the early 90s cast and the 70s cast got the same amount of entries, the 70s SNL was better overall (mostly thanks to the writing). Hey, don't discount the amazing properties of whatever drugs the cast was using as well...
Guest godthedog Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 this is true. those 70s kids were pretty manic.
Guest LooseCannon Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 Phil Hartman John Belushi Chevy Chase Gilda Radner Kevin Nealon Chris Farley Molly Shannon Will Ferrell Norm Macdonald Tim Meadows

Guest LooseCannon Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 Seeing Dana Carvey on everyone's list reminds me just how much I hate that unfunny little feminine man.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 I HAVE to respond don't I? 1)Norm Macdonald. It's Macdonald not McDonald FYI 2)Phil Hartman 3)Dan Aykroyd 4)Dana Carvey 5)John Belushi 6)Will Ferrell 7)Mike Myers 8)Bill Murray 9)Eddie Murphy 10)Tim Meadows
Guest MDH257 Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 1.) Phil Hartman 2.) Eddie Murphy 3.) Dan Aykroyd 4.) Gilda Radner 5.) John Belushi 6.) Bill Murray 7.) Will Ferrell 8.) Dana Carvey 9.) Dennis Miller 10.) Mike Myers
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 In no order. Chevey Chase Phil Hartman Daryl Hammond...everything the guy does is funny Dana Carvey Dan Aykroyd Eddie Murphy Mike Myers Will Ferrell I only found 8 I marked out big for. Hate to sound like an ass...but people give way too much credit to the dead, and the first cast, sorry, just the way I feel. And the least funny? Jimmy Fallon
Guest bob_barron Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Which deceased cast members dont you like YNA? I've always been a Phil Hartman fan- the guy helped carry the show and was great in almost every role he did
Guest teke184 Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 1. Phil Hartman 2. John Belushi 3. Mike Myers 4. Eddie Murphy 5. Bill Murray 6. Dana Carvey 7. Norm MacDonald 8. Dennis Miller 9. Will Ferrell 10. Jon Lovitz Honorable mention to that Wild and Crazy Guy Steve Martin, who's hosted more shows than some cast members have appeared on. This is a rough order.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Steve has hosted 13 times- John Goodman has 12 but I think Goodman has more overall appearances.
Guest razazteca Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Phil Hartman - did everything well but Frankenstein and the cook stand out as great recurring characters Mike Myers - Wayne World and Sprockets Dana Carvey - Garth and President Bush Dan Aykroyd - the toy sales man and the weekend news Norm McDonald his Bob Dole and the Weekend News were always funny and as Burt Reyolds in Celebrity Jeoparody. Eddie Murphy - Gumby Damn It, Mr Rogers, Stevie Wonder Darrell Hammond - the Presidental Debates Will Ferral - cheerleader and politicians and Celebrity Jeoparody. Chris Farely - as the guy who lives in a van DOWN by THE River! and general fat guy funny material. Jane Curtain - the work with Dan Aykroyd on the weekend news and as a reporter opposite Dan's halloween costume/toy sales man were classic.
cawthon777 Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 I had to pick Dennis Miller simply because he encouraged education. *Dennis Miller tells a joke* "...I know that's funny ... I just don't know why ... I have to go read 5 books to understand the pun."
Guest razazteca Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 and on his farm Norm had a news update E I E I O Im not good with names sorry.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 No problem- it's just my biggest pet peeve like ever.
Guest BifEverchad Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 No problem- it's just my biggest pet peeve like ever. whatever, bob baron
Guest hardyz1 Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 People like Molly Shannon? Yikes.
Guest GeneMean Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Gilda Radner Dan Aykroyd John Belushi Bill Murray Eddie Murphy Dana Carvey Phil Hartman Mike Myers Will Ferrell
Guest razazteca Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Molly Shannon is average at best, yet all of her characters resembled that middle aged woman who likes to scratch walk and kick. Not 10 ten material but between Garfalfo (good) and Calghorn (bad).
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 I had Molly Shannon on my worst list. I despise her. If murder was made legal tomorrow she would be on my list somewhere between X-Pac and Richie Sexon of the Milwaukee Brewers. I never find her funny and agree with Raz that just about everyone of her characters comes across as the same "crazy lady." She mistakes acting like a retarded dumbass for being funny. On the flipside, Kattan makes the same mistake.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 I agree with Deacon but on a lesser extent. She was good till 1998 and then just lost all semblance of professionalism. And Janeane Garafalo was jusr awful on SNL. What a cunt bitch
