New japan, making a comeback

For those who don't know, the IWGP Tag Titles are currently vacant pending a tournament. Last night Manabu Nakanishi and Yugi Nagata advanced to the finals to face Chono and Tenzan.

 

This could be the first step in New Japan making a comeback in good booking. Nagata is probably the best wrestler they have for the heavyweight division. Tenzan's loyalty may finaly pay off, Chono is more over in New Japan as a heel than The Rock probably is in WWF as a face. The only weak link is Nakanishi.

 

Also Eddy Guerrero and Black Tiger are the newest members of Team 2000. They turned on Minoru Tanaka durring a six man tag match. Tanaka and Eddy could easily have a ***** match. This has led to some 10 man tags of Gedo/Jado/Kanemoto/Eddy/Tiger VS Tanaka/Samauri/Kakihara/Naurse/Lyger

 

If New Japan gets the IWGP title off of Tadao Yasuda and onto someone like Chono, or even Tenzan then things can finaly start to look up and New Japan can be the top promotion in Japan once again
