Current WWE Heavies That Could Do Well WIth A Stin

I'm Not Sure What Folder this should be in, but we'll start in in puro...

What WWE Heavyweights would do well with a trip to japan? It's seen as a huge learning experience for most that go over...

If you had the power to send some WWE Heavyweights (250 and Up) To Japan to hone thier skills, who would it be, and where?

Personally, I think the only thing holding Big Show back is his laziness, and I think a trip to New Japan could change that...

Sucks for Japan to get Big Show, Kane, and Test. I'd send Brock Lesnar so he could learn more and get a chance to show off his amateur background.

Nathan Jones was in Zero-1 but I haven't seen his work but from what I've heard he isn't too impressive beyond his size. He's the type of guy who would benefit from gaining experience in Japan but more than just a few months worth. Test is someone who could use a few months in Japan to prove his dedication and to learn ring psychology and hopefully fnd some charisma. Kane is a veteran who is as far along as he will get so a stint in Japan won't help him.

My choice would be A-Train I have pimped him in the past as having the potential to be the best Vader-like big man in a while. I think physically he's there, he has the intensity needed but lacks that something which he may pick up in Japan. He can dish out punishment and has nice athleticism for a man his size, if they get his backhair shaven so the WWE fans can take the beatings he dishes out seriously instead of focusing on his back-hair he could be a star. He also needs some new ring attire, a singlet would be an improvement. Also another name change.

It's almost time, it's almost time, it's almost A-Train time!

DragonFly- I agree on A-Train, the guy has shown before that he's got the nescessary skills in the ring but if he was given a forum like All Japan or New Japan to just totally go balls out I'm sure he could get over and improve his workrate.

It's been said before but Kurt Angle would be the one to watch in the ring in Japan. I don't doubt he could hold his own against guys like Kawada, Misawa, Nagata etc. and it's unlikely that guys would try and take liberties with him.

Other then that, I wouldn't mind seeing Lesnar, Booker T and Jericho (in a heavyweight setting) take on the orient.

Has anyone seen GAEA Girls? After the Bob Holly controversy where he beat up crybaby Matt (Which I feel was justified) I wondered how the training in Tough Enough stacked up to the training shown in GG. From reviews and discussion I have heard about GG and from watching TE it seems like the TE kids have it very easy.

Angle would be fun to watch in Japan but he doesn't need the seasoning.

Lesnar in Japan would be fun, I don't think he needs to go since he has the edge it takes and he's living up to his potential already. I would have thought Cena was a candidate to go to Japan but he has improved somewhat the last few months.

I thought A train and test were getting somewhere when they split them up. I'm actually a closet fan of big show, I think it's the best idea to get him back into any sort of shape. A train's still pretty young, I think it'll take a while, but he could be alright. Kane and lesnar would DEFINITELY benefit. I can't see booker fitting in, he's become more of a comedy character. I don't think he needs it at this late stage in his career, though he could still be a credible main eventer with his current arsenal. How about edge?

I like to see Jazz go to Gaea camp, just so she can look at Chigusa and the eye and dare Chigusa to smack her.

Comparing Bradshaw and Hanson is like comparing Benoit and Hogan.

Bradshaw sucks.

End of story.

Americans in Japan are a pretty weird deal... since the styles are so different, guys that really excell in America can really clean up across the sea since they can play more to their strengths. I think the best example would be Steve Williams who has failed in every trip to the US to get over since the late eighties if I recall correctly.

His peak as a worker (93-95) we're pretty exclusive to AJ. And he's been failing there since '96.

Not sure what you mean by style difference being a factor, aside from the uniqueness of being gaijin period there's always been a cross-pollanization of styles of some sort. Kawada cut his teeth in US/CA, Misawa in Mexico. Calgary guys like Owen and Benoit fit like a glove in NJ, Southerners like Hansen, Gordy and Williams in AJ etc. The ties aren't nearly as strong as they we're though, and I don't think its a coincidence the ring product has gone down this gen. Any synergy on this side has been reduced to a trickle down effect (see Benoit-Angle).
