Guest Johnson1620 Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Well the NASCAR season got under way this past Saturday night with Dale Earnhsrdt Jr. taking the bud shoot out. Then on Sunday qualifying was postponed until Monday due to rain. But when they did run them Dale Jr. got 2nd. Jeff Greene got the pole.

Guest Johnson1620 Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Those guys that wrecked didn't have much of a chance of winning with the cars they had, except for Park. He is a DEI driver. So it really doesn't matter. Waltrip and Jr. are sure to dominate once again.

Guest Choken One Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Since Most of you guys are Fans here...Any one curious of WHY Steve Park never performs as well as Junior or Waltrip at Superspeedways? My good friend has a theory that DEI doesn't want Park to succed and are esstiantly holding him down so he can't outdo Junior and Mikey. He claims that Park is a better driver overall then Waltrip (which is argueable, since his two wins came from Non-DEI dominant tracks). I don't agree with him and simply believe that Park isn't an Restrictor Plate racer like Junior and Waltrip. Park is a beast from the One mile track game. I also believe that Steve Park will be out of a job with DEI either mid season or early off season...

According to Jayski, Park has been given 2 months to improve or he is out of a ride. * Park has 2 months? AutoRacing1.com (need subscription to view) is reporting that #1-Steve Park has two months left to prove his worth to DEI. Park has been given through April to show he deserves to remain in the #1 Pennzoil Chevrolet past the 2003 season. How big is the deal at Chance2 to run a limited BGN and Winston Cup schedule?
