LaParkaYourCar Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 94.5 The Buzz in Houston had Kane on their morning show without his mask on, but they forgot to tell Kane about the webcam so anyone watching the webcam got to see Kane without his mask. Due to the WWE's "stay in character" rule now the WWE was upset about the incident.
Guest Eagan469 Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Maybe they should blast Google Image Search too
Guest razazteca Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 kayfabe in WWE? they can't be serious, they should of known that every radio talk show in every major market had a web site which usually post pictures of guest. This just in anybody with access to the internet knows that Kane was Issiac Yankem DDS and Fake Diesil.
Guest treble charged Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 One time, I took a bus trip to a house show in Ottawa. When we left, we were going down the highway, when we passed an SUV being driven by Kane with Paul Bearer as his passenger. Thing was, Kane was so tall that his head was so far up to the roof, you couldn't see his face at all. I thought that was kind of humourous.
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 11, 2003 Author Report Posted February 11, 2003 Yeah it wasn't his face being exposed that got me. It was the fact that the station had to make a statement about their mistake.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 "Maybe they should blast Google Image Search too" LOL...
Guest buffybeast Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Damn, WWE management can be so stupid. Are there people out there who really believe Glen Jacobs shows up at PTA meeting wearing a mask?
Guest papacita Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 On a slightly unrelated note, I'd laugh my ass off if WWE gave Kane a gimmick like Wilson's from Home Improvement.
Guest deadbeater Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Actually, considering Kane is quite intelligent, he might pull it off.
Guest Ram Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 I just thought Kane looked nerdy, not that he really was one.
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Well here is the thing, was he being "Kane" or Glenn on the show, I mean where they calling him Glenn "Kane" Jacobs. BIG diffrence. Sure Kane in public usually does wear the mask at WWE events but when the cameras aren't rolling its back to being Glenn Jacobs (I.E. PTA meetings, ect) BTW an intresting tidbit, Did you know... Jakks Pacific actually made a Kane figure with a removable mask as part of a "Ripped and Ruthless" style line (with HBK and Sable in the set) and basically the face looks like Undertaker's of that era (1997) only with a red scar on his right cheek (burn mark) Steve
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 12, 2003 Author Report Posted February 12, 2003 I didn't hear the show, but the statement about their mistake they kept calling him Kane.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 LaParka - do you listen to The Buzz? I hardly listen to it, so I was wondering if they publically apologized.
Guest JHawk Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Considering it was basically WWE itself that exposed the business (at least on a national scale), then isn't this kind of like the pot calling the kettle black?
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 12, 2003 Author Report Posted February 12, 2003 LaParka - do you listen to The Buzz? I hardly listen to it, so I was wondering if they publically apologized. I really wouldn't call it an apology. More of a "whoops we made a mistake.....this is what we did"
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Posted February 12, 2003 Report Posted February 12, 2003 Most of those guys are buzzed anyway, so it would surprise me if they just said whoops
