Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted February 12, 2003 Hey, I dunno if this thread was ever started before or not, so forgive me if it was. Anyways, scratch tickets are latest obsessions. I love them. I'm not addicted to them or anything, but they're fun and it seems like lately, all I do is win. I'm on a 8 ticket winning streak and I just scratched off a 'Crossword Deluxe' ticket and won $20. Nothing big, but still... Pro-Line is also another obsession for me, but I havent played that since the NFL playoffs. Pro-Line is a lottery style ticket you buy where you can wager from $2-$25 on 3-6 professional sporting events. I usually play it every week when the NFL season starts, and usually during the NHL playoffs too. You can play it safe and win a decent amount, or you can go against the odds and win a bundle. My highest win was a couple of years ago, when I won $845 on 3 Football games, 2 NHL games and a Basketball game. the catch, you have to get all predictions correct. Anyways, I live in Atlantic Canada, so I'm sure everyone's games and gambles are different. So what's your obsessions, if any? Check out www.alc.ca, to understand more on what I'm talking about. Guest RugbyDiva Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I use to have an obsession with scratch tickets... but that has passed. Right now I really don't have any 'obsessions' so to speak. Well... besides the obvious one. -Lis'
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I found a scratch ticket on the ground once and won $100 dollars off it. The money was most likely spent on 100 more scratch tickets, which I won nothing from.
Guest BiOHaZaRD EX Report post Posted February 12, 2003 Well, my mom buys them once in a while, and she always buys me a ticket. Not addicted though.....

Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I used to play a scratch ticket every week, years ago. Now I just get a dozen on major holidays and lose every time. Fuck, 20 is the most I've ever won.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted February 12, 2003 You want a scratch ticket addict? Look at my mother, she buys at least $5 worth at the store and goes to their little lottery counter to scratch them. Sometimes we spend 15 extra minutes there if she keeps winning $2 - 4. She did win $400 twice in one week, though.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I've never won more than another ticket. I usually only play $1 BlackJack though. I bought a new Florida Lotto ticket that was $10!!! I won NOTHING.
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted February 12, 2003 yeah...stay away from that Florida 10 buck one.... I've been told in a few various convenience stores and Publix that they haven't seen a single person win... Go with the 5 dollar ones...they OWN... I won a few hundred on those
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I still laugh at the advertisements for the actual scratch tickets on TV/Radio. "Odds of winning are # in ###########. Please play responsibly" Just the thought of some asshole blowing his entire paycheck and not being able to pay his bills because he spent $400 on a bunch of scratch tickets is pretty amusing to me. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted February 12, 2003 Having worked at a convenience store before, I can honestly say that lottery people are a different breed. BTW: This tidbit was interesting, since we're on the topic of scratch tickets... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,78181,00.html "—U.S. residents spent over $38 billion on lottery tickets in 2001, with about $2 of every $5 going toward instant scratch-off games." Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 13, 2003 the scratch games in Texas are match 3 of a kind or get 2 of a kind and the special symbol for the big prize. Or some sort of matching scheme. Never really won big on this other than free ticket or $5. Now the LOTTO is a different story.
