CHRIS SIMMS? Come on!!

 

I say that Troy Edwards (QB, Senior, Eastern Michigan) should go really late. 2762 yards passing, 22 TDs (18 INTs/sacked 25 times). It's hard to get so many yards passing when your team ends up sucking enough to go 3-9 while giving up 566 points (NCAA record)

I still think there is a sleeper QB that will stun the NFL in the class of 2003

What Ive seen from Ragone has impressed me.

He would be a steal for someone if he slips to the 2nd round.

Simms has all the physical skills to be an NFL quarterback, but as we all know physical skills won't do it alone. We'll have to see what he's made of mentally.

 

Ragone's dropped mostly because this season's performance was nowhere near his performances of the past two years. However, if you watched Louisville games you know that Louisville's offensive line was very inexperienced, hit with injuries and never jelled, thus Ragone was either on the ground or on the run.

 

Boller is my personal sleeper pick. His career is very similar to Carson Palmer's. Boller was a heavily-hyped recruit who didn't fully develop until Jeff Tedford arrived in Berkeley last season. He definitely has an NFL-caliber arm.

Chris Simms has all the makings of a huge draft bust. I can't even really explain what those attributes are, but they are just dripping off the man. he is Todd Marinovich, Version Lefty.

Kingsbury played out of a shotgun formation alot at Texas Tech, and struggled under center at one of those Senior Bowls.

Ken Dorsey = Tom Brady?

 

Probably not, but I like Dorsey, so I'd like to see him make it in the NFL. Needs to bulk up, though.

I contend that with time, a team that could get Kingsbury, JR Tolver and Kassim Osgood would be awesome.

 

Kliff- 5017 yards passing

and if the same team can get Brock Forsey (Boise State), they'd rock the body that rocks the party

Dorsey folds under pressure, which he showed every chance he was given in the Fiesta Bowl. He's got to get mentally tougher to make it in the NFL. He also doesn't have a strong arm, which can be overcome, but only by guys who have a sharp mental game.

 

I'd actually put Boller ahead of Grossman, but I can't quibble with the rest of the list. Kingsbury would be a good pickup for a team who can afford to spend 2-3 years developing a QB. Considering the kind of offense he's used to, he'd have to learn to play the position in a more normal offense.

Ragone seems really big and tough.

 

I bet the most accurate QB in the nation will be snubbed. He is Brian Jones of Toledo, who went 297-423 for 3446 yards with 23 TD passes.

the worst Jones did in a game this year was a 55% completion percentage.

 

The best place for Kliff to start would be one with a wide-open offense and a DAMNED GOOD OL. Kliff did get sacked 44 times (less than only Ragone and Jason Johnson of Arizona) in 2002.
