The Maury Povich talk show episode on Comedy Central in a repeat and this being the 1st time at watching this episode, I must say that this is the best portray of what goes on these trash tv talk shows. Funny as hell when Cartman gets on the show as the out of control kid and does the Whatever! Whatever! I do What I Want! The announcer saying, these kids act like whores it boaders on child porn is so true.

Anybody know what season this was and if it will ever be released on DVD in a season set?

That was season 6.

I don't know about the DVD question, but I downloaded that episode on realmedia format at www.southparkx.net

Don't know if they still have it.

I don't even like South Park, but I had it on waiting for Chappelle's Show and I died laughing. That was so funny it was mind blowing. I should start watching if this is the kind of stuff I'm missing.

Speaking of Chappelle's Show, that was quality stuff tonight.

The black people getting their checks... instant gold.

"Well I'm in 12 gangs and all we do is commit hate crimes."

I thanks Parker and Stone for doing that episode. I use to like Maury, but he only runs 3 shows now:

Out of controll teens

Whos' my baby daddy

and the shows about the deformed little kids

It's such an unwatchable show now

The season of 2002 was a year had thought provoking social comment episodes like this one as well as the Lucas & Spellberg, LOTRs, stairway to heaven and others will make you say wow.

Your missing alot but luckly Comedy Central repeats 2 episodes on a daily basis now, at 8:30 central.

What I hated is that most of the shows I watched (from time to time when I wake up before 3 p.m.) is that they were always 2-parters.

I want to know who her baby's daddy is NOW damnit...

UGH! I use to watch those too.

It's the same show over and over again.

Girl: "I know you my baby daddy! You got the same lower lip and earlobes!" (it's always stupid shit like that.

Guy: "I'm 200% sure this kid ain't mine! Lisa's a ho who sleepin with everybody!"

And if the guy is the dad the woman will get up in his face "I told you so motha *bleep bleep bleep bleep*" And if the guy isn't then it's the same thing, just the other person yelling. Great parents, eh?

And every guy does the "I'm gonna be a daddy and take care of my business speach." blah blah blah

I saw one deal where the girl brought TWO guys on and she was 100% sure one of them was the daddy...neither was...so she comes back on another show and brings THREE guys with her saying one has to be the daddy...none of them are...then she says the father is either in jail or dead...So she was albe to narrow it down to 7 guys finally. And I doubt either of those two were the dad.

<QUOTE=Cartman>

Well, I ran for Congess and won. And then I had sex with an intern, hid the body and got away with it!

Classic!

It would of been funny as hell if Trey & Matt actually added Star Wars characters in the 1st episode of South Park, like they said in season 6.

Wait, does the deformed little kids include fat infants, or is that another topic?

That's always a weird episode to watch. They bring these families out that have like a 200-lb 2 year old, and how difficult it is to raise these kids.

Now, I'm a big guy myself, but this is bordering on insane. One of the moms is going on about what she feeds her kid each day, and one of them is like a mid-afternoon snack of McDonald's fries, because, "the kid wants it". I'm sitting there, yelling at the TV--well, just don't get it!! The kid's not about to walk to McDonalds: he's two and can barely stand.

That is all.

Those episodes make me want to hit those asshole parents.

I myself am a big fella, but I wasn't 2 bucks before my 5th birthday.

Those parents have ruined their kids lives before they even had a chance, if you're going to cram shit down your kids mouths then give them somethine healthy.

I'd feel better about sending my kid to bed with only 1 dinner with with 3.

I would sue the shit out of my mom and dad when I got older if I ended up like that. And the kid could probably win.

I saw one where the dumb ass mother said she feeds her 2 year old ribs fried chicken donuts...because her kids likes it and she's going to give her son anything he wants.

I wanted to reach in and slap that idiot. But on the bright side she did return on later show saying that she was disgusted by her episode when she saw and that she changed how she does.

I loved that episode. No doubt about it, Maury Povich should get off TV already. EVERY single time I tune in....

Who my baby daddy? or Teens out of control......once in a while, he invites host of other shows like Wildest Police Chases to show some footage.

Talk Shows are turning into wrestling at their current pace. There's clear faces and heels, and everyone's a character of some kind. The only legit episode of any show I've seen lately was Ricki's Woman Adult Film Entrepreneurs episode.

John Edwards.

If next season is anywhere near as good as this last season was, it'll be gold.

And when are they coming out with the rest of the seasons on DVD?

So who's the biggest douche bag...Maury or John Edwards...

Maury is a Maxi Pad which has that mysterious blue liquid on it.

Maybe they're just in training for the next wave of lawsuits aimed at fast-food joints...

what about a lawsuit on the talk shows for making a false reality that the bad parents believe is acceptable.

I've never seen where the shows would lead the bad parents to think what they do is acceptable.

The host always tells them this is wrong and the audience tears them apart over it. The only way they could still think it's acceptable is if they're stubborn and set in their ways. So then they won't pay attention to what anyone says.

But if the talk show does a whole season about bad parenting, stealing potential spots from the real freaks, there is an image that if you are bad you can be on tv to get a prize or be a talk show celebrity for 15 minutes.

Reality TV Celebrity is big business and talk shows are the slums of real world television programming.

Or you could just be a really good actor. COME ON, PEOPLE!!! These people aren't REAL!! The only real people on talk shows anymore are the ones with disfigurements, and even they are exploited like cheap novelty acts. Springer revolutionized everything, but sadly nothing can ever match that frentic 1996 season when the show RULED.

Not to mention a trained audience, especially during the teen shows. The parent, almost *always* a mother, comes on and basically says 'my kid is out of control because I suck as a parent so I have to come on NATIONAL TV to to solve my problems'. Then the teen comes out; if it's a guy, they come out in street-gansta clothes; if it's a girl, she's dressed as a slut. What always gets me is the teens come on going all 'shut up! you don't know what's it like!' and the host acts as dumb as JR during a squash match. The host tells the kids they need to change, but doesn't say anything that the kids don't already know. And, by the end of the show, the kids are turned into bawling bitches.

Or they get sent to boot camp. That's always fun.
