Guest TajiriMark Report post Posted February 13, 2003 My computer froze about a week ago when I was online, and when I started it back up, Windows was running in "safe mode". It's been this way fo about a week now and it's pretty annoying with the colors all off and not even able to play Windows Media Player videos. Is there anything that I can do or change in regards to the Windows Settings to change it back to the regular Windows, not in safe mode? Just to let you know, I have Windows 98. I don't know much about the software end of things, so I assume the "minimal set of drivers" loaded doesn't include the higher-end video stuff. ::shrug:: And yeah, a simple proper reboot should help. Guest DrTom Report post Posted February 16, 2003 Safe mode runs video only in VGA mode: 640x480, with 16 colors. The good thing about it is that you can safely remove devices that are causing problems, since their drivers aren't loaded.
