Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. 1-2-3 Kid...

Just wondering if anyone here has actually seen a match which took place on RAW back in '95 between the Kid & the Hitman? I've just found it on Kazaa, and although the download size is pretty big, i'm interested in wether or not it's worth getting.

 

I've never seen it, so if anyone could give me a rough indication of how good it was, that'd be great.

I have the match and it runs about 16:36 and the 1-2-3 Kid did bring his A Game, its is worth the long wait. JR and Stan Lane? are the announcers. Lots of near falls that got the crowd going crazy, the Kid was playing the face that never gave up always looking for the suprise up set move.

 

The Kid went to the top rope alot in the match did some good moves like Atomico Senton but at the end he went to the well one too many times as the Champion eventually caught on, and quit toying with The Kid for a good finish.

The match is from June / July 94, taped shortly after the KOTR. Great match but I don't think the online version is in full. As I remember, Bret scored the pin but had the match restarted for some reason (Kid's foot was on the rope, etc) and immediately thereafter Bret got surprised for a near fall. That's not on the version I downloaded.

 

Quality match. One of the first great technical bouts on Raw.

That version of the match is probably the one on the 1hr Coliseum Video Raw Hits. It dubbed out Savage's commentary and did CLIP the match at one or more points.

Yes, this one took place in early July of 1994, IIRC. It was the night before the MLB All-Star Game, because I was going back and forth between that and the Home Run Derby. As I recall, it ran for about 30 minutes and was restarted at one point, because of a technicality. In the end, Bret went over cleanly with the Sharpshooter and of course, they made nice afterwards. This was during the era of RAW where the feature match was the first thing on the show and would usually go 15-30 minutes. Good times.

Yah that is a uct version. I have the original featuring Savage & JR and runs 30 minutes. Bret pins Kid but it doesn't count and eventually Bret wins it the same way he beat HBK at SS92.

Probably with, which means the match ran probably closer to 20 minutes, and the RAW Hits version (which I have) runs 15 1/2 minutes. I gave it ***1/2 stars, but the full version is probably better.

I remember watching that match and actually getting into all the near falls even though I found The Kid annoying.

 

It was a great match with good emotion and great near falls.

I think he worked indys after leaving the WWF in 95. Probably retired by now.

Lane was actually a junior, junior grade commentator for ESPN after leaving the WWF for awhile. Doing men's water polo and two white polish guys boxing at 3 in the morning. I believe you he still hangs around the independent circuit today and does some commentating here and there.

I didn't mind the guy, hope all went well for him. He worked pretty well with Gorilla Monsoon.

 

I also own WWF Super Slams, a video compliation of matches from 1995 which he hosts, pretty cool too.

I timed the match w/o commercials at 21:47 (i might have one or two commercials i ncause i usually kept a special commercial lol)

That was an awesome match,I remember going crazy when the 1-2-3 Kid got a couple of near falls,I was like I want him to lose but it would be interesting if he won to see what would happen.Speaking of commercials it is funny to watch commercials from the early 1990s just to see the commercials,Who would have guessed Payless,haha!!!
