Guest Redhawk Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Grant Hill -- Right now he's on the injured list, but for how long? I had heard Orlando was going to sit him the rest of the year until the playoffs. Then I see him at a Duke game, and he had to be helped to his feet. Is he going to come back this year? Is he done for good, or what? Zo -- The first word was that he wasn't going to ever play again, then I hear he might come back. If he did come back he'd be a free agent. Do you think he comes back and stays in Miami, goes somewhere else, or retires? Marcus Camby -- Came back from a hip injury, plays one game, then hurts his ankle or knee or something. Is he done for? When's he going to get back on the court? Terrell Brandon -- I heard he was going to retire, but I also heard he was trying to come back. Is it his knee that's messed up? With him healthy Minnesota could have been a title contender. Dikembe Mutombo -- He's going to be back before the playoffs, right? But then you saw how he was playing while he was healthy. Would Byron Scott even play him? Also... Penny Hardway DerMarr Johnson Shawn Kemp Bobby Jackson Chris Webber

Alonzo-Will make another Comeback attempt but his talent will be eroded and he'll step down and become an Scout for Miami. Camby-He'll bounce around from Shit team to shit team for a couple more years and fade away quietly. T. Brandon-I don't know much about his Status... Mutumbo-He'll be back JUST in time for the Playoffs...He is really just a foil for Shaq if they play them again...Mutumbo is a solid Playoff performer...Methinks this will be his swan season. Penny Hardaway-He isn't done for...Likely turn into an Sean Elliot role player type of guy, That i can see joining a playoff team and being a key role player. DeMarr Johnson- A UC player that is still talked about here...He suffered that devastating neck injury and I really hope he can recover...Suppoused to return next season to Atlanta. I really hope that his career gets back on track...But I ancipate him falling away soon. Shawn Kemp-Recently Suspended for Anti-Drug Policy...He'll be permantly banned soon enough. Biggest fall from grace in NBA History. Bobby Jackson-I have no idead about his status. Chris Webber-He'll be just fine...Should be better when he comes back to lead the Kings to the finals. Guest alkeiper Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Add Todd MacCullouch to that list. His foot injury has now sidelined him indefinately, and retirement rumors are circulating.

Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Brandon is likely done. The T'Wolves either want Brandon to return and play full time, or just have the insurance pay for 80% of his contract.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted February 14, 2003 It's too bad about Grant Hill, I also think he is done for. 3 surgeries in 20 month on the same ankle, and it is still giving him trouble. No way to come back from that. Detroit is thanking the basketball gods that they got Ben Wallace out of that deal. 'Zo and Brandon are done as well IMO. Camby not far away, maybe McDyess as well. When you start racking up season ending injury after season ending injury and there is always someone who can fill your spot you get forgetten quickly. No serious problem for Jackson and Webber (except maybe Webber's legal woes) Penny Hardaway will keep hanging on, but will see his role lessen every year Kemp will run out of chances soon enough, and if he's even off for half a year he'll get so out of shape he won't be able to come back I haven't heard much about DerMarr. I know Atlanta didn't pick up his option so I think he's just got one season left with them. When he plays again I have no idea. Or if he even plays again.
