Guest converge241 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 do you ever reflect upon title lineage on say the other arena or PWI alamanc, or just in your mind OR get informed about a title reign and just get blown away that they did it?? not so much because you like/dont like the wrestler but just cant believe it slipped your mind or what have you?? of course the hardcore title(s) are the worst for this so there could be many there some of mine are Albert and Lance Storm as back to back IC champs (during Invasion) I mean i saw both changes happen yet it still kind of makes me say hmm Alex Wright as WCW tag champ with Bill DeMott (understandibly this was done because they were in germany but in no way fit storyline wise) Muto and Vampiro as WCW tag champs for one day (just because it seemed weird to end Kronic's reign so abruptly but apparently they didnt want to job to the Filthy Animals so they set up a transition) Bagwell and Douglas during new blood rising (yes the WCW tag belts have a few) Steve McMichael, One Man Gang as US champions share yours/feel free to comment on any that you didnt know about and got exposed to here also check out other arena title histories to review the titles if youre a newbie or not familiar

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Rock and Taker as tag team champs for a couple days. DDP and Kanyon as WWF Tag Team Champs. Tajiri as US Champion. Mideon as Euro champ
Guest papacita Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Any IC title reign from 1999. SHUT UP! SHE WAS A GOOD CHAMPION!!!!!! You were thinking it... Anyway, Chyna's 3rd I-C reign (where she beat Trish) seems a little odd, even to me. Jericho's 2 minute Hardcore Title reign...where they made a big deal about him overcoming odds to beat the Big Show (I think) only to have him get beaten by Rhyno after the match. Jim Duggan's US Title reign was a big WTF, as well as Renegade's TV Title reign in 95. Also Crash Holly's brief Euro Title run stands out to me, because I remember approx. 99.9% of all WWF/E title changes dating back to 1988, but don't remember that. Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted February 14, 2003 A lot of the silly WCW cruiser weight title reigns near the end when they had perfectly legitimate people to put the belt on besides Oklahoma and Madusa. Also, the tag team cruiser belts made no sense to me to create in the first place.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 the WCW cruiserweight champion shares some of the hardcore title nonsense (unfortunately) with TWO women holding it let alone one ..Ferrara and Disco (only because he clearly seemed bigger than the other guys)were other odd choices Valentine and Taylor as US tag champs (thats just one of those i forgot about)
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Vince and Steph as WWF and Women's champions, respectively. Never underestimate the ego that pulls the strings.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Converge, you wanna talk US Tag Champs...weren't Dick Slater and The Barbarian the last known champs? Talk about a mishmash team. Ah, WCW '92-'93. When Tony Atlas was a badass heel, you couldn't jump off the top rope, and Erik Watts went over half the roster.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 ah yes the last holders of the belts..i remembered that they had it but i forget why were they even together again? manged by Parker or something?

Guest converge241 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 "Big shows 2nd world title." when he won it from HHH? and headed toward the Bossman feud? that almost went to test or Kane? man how could you NOT like that one???
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 14, 2003 ah yes the last holders of the belts..i remembered that they had it but i forget why were they even together again? manged by Parker or something? Nah, Parker didn't come in until a little later, with Sid. I think that was when they had a lot of heels coming in and targetting Simmons all at once (Barbarian, Atlas, One Man Gang). They just wound up together by chance. Slater had been with Murdoch, but Murdoch may have been hurt, or fired by that time.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted February 14, 2003 You also have to remember that Ron Simmons and Big Josh have a US title reign in there near the end too.
Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted February 14, 2003 "Big shows 2nd world title." when he won it from HHH? and headed toward the Bossman feud? that almost went to test or Kane? man how could you NOT like that one??? That was his 1st reign you mentioned. I must throw in the 90 minute WCW Title reign by Sting. Why so quick of a change?
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Is that the one where he beat, then lost it to DDP on Nitro? Early '99, right? Kinda stupid to do that IMO as well, but remember, back then, they were desperate to get ahead in the ratings.

Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted February 15, 2003 Triple H winning the title at WM 18 wasn't a shock but keeping it for just a month it was. losing it to Hogan and then Hogan losing it to Taker the next month.... : sigh : during the Invasion with the LW belt and CW belt, one week X-Pac was the champion, then Kidman the next, then X-Pac, then Kidman, etc. why don't just keep it with one for some time and then change the champ instead of every week? Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Report post Posted February 15, 2003 Hugh Morrus was 1/2 of the WCW Tag Champs with Alex Wright because Disco Inferno (Wright's regular partner) was injured in a battle royal earlier that night. Of course, for WCW's intents and purposes, Morrus was never mentioned as having been involved in that match at all. Otto Wanz's AWA Title reign in 1980(?) was kind of odd, but it makes sense in the rumor that he paid $5,000 to Verne for a title reign are true. Eric Bischoff, WCW hardcore champion. Goldberg/Bret Hart, WCW Tag Team champions. Most of Crash Holly's Hardcore Title reigns, as well as those of Booker T and Shawn Stasiak (for approx. 5 mins. each during the Scottish house shows of last spring). Guest Human Fly Report post Posted February 17, 2003 The Mountie wins IC from Bret Hart when the Hitman has the flu (was he really sick during that mathc, or just an angle?) then a few days later Mountie loses IC to Piper (which was awesome). I know why they did it, but when it happened I was shocked. When D-Lo beat HHH for his first Euro title. The U.S. title was a mess for a while going from Sasaki to One Man Gang to Konnan (who ended up keeping it for like 6 or 7 months)
