Guest Nevermortal Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Dreamworks has tapped director Jay Roach (Meet the Parents) to direct Mike Myers in the first ever entirely sampled movie. Sampling is a term used in music where a song "samples" parts of past songs and uses them to form a remixed version. Today, many hip-hop songs are sampled from past hits. Dreamworks plans to take pieces of old films and string them together to make a new film. It will be interesting to see how such a project turns out. WORST. CONCEPT. EVER.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Well, it can't be any worse than the spoof movies that try and spoof 5 or 10 movies (like Scary Movie, Not Another Teen Movie or any Leslie Neilsen Movie..)
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Sounds like it might have something in common with Kung Pow or What's Up Tiger Lilly?
Guest El Satanico Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I don't know...if Mike Myers wasn't connected with the project I'd probably write it off as a bound to fail concept. However since Mike Myers is connected with the project I'm willing to give the concept a fair chance.
Guest Si82 Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Well at least it's something a bit different...
Guest Brush with Greatness Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Sounds similar to "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid".
