Guest EricMM Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Hey I have been reading about the double turns and who is a good face versus a good heel, and I was wondering what everyone thought about various wrestlers. Is Rock a better face or heel? HHH? What about Hurricane and Molly? The Hardyz? Dudleys? Booker T or RVD or Tajiri? Even Shane or Vince McMahon? They've both played heel and face in the past. So try to define as many wrestlers as you can. And pretend you're a booker and give these people GOOD ideas, not "get off TV" even if you think that is a good idea... For example is Kane a better heel or face? Plus you can pretend we get actual build up and storylines... Go wild
Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Hmmm... RVD should win the IC title and hold it for a good long time (not 2 years like the ECW TV title...that'll never happen) but for at least 5 or 6 months. Then after losing the title in a screw-job to someone like Booker-T, he should win the top title in a surprise upset. He should only have a short reign (a few days). After losing it they should have him try to win it back for the next year or so, but always have him screwed out of it. After a year he can win it again then hold it for a good long reign. Other than that...Lita, Trish and Stacy should team up and start a gimmick where they're nudists and walk down to the ring nekkid...
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Rock acts about the same as a heel or a face, so it doesn't matter one way or the other. I liked Austin's heel character better, his babyface act is too repetitive. The Hardyz can't act or talk their way out of a paper bag, so they would probably fail as heels. RVD definatly should stay the cocky babyface. Booker T should turn face and feud with Hall after Austin is sone with him, this gives Booker a top guy who he can go over cleanly. I don't like Shane at all as a face or a heel, same for Steph. Vince is better as a heel, but his gimmick is played out. Dudleyz need a face turn, a slight gimmick change, and to stop wrestling the same match every night. HHH is way better as a heel. Tajiri is better as a heel, but will get cheered any way. Kane is better as a heel, but I would rather not see him, same goes for Show, Taker, and Nash. Unless they made Big Show Jericho's bodyguard. I think for Jericho, he should lose at Mania and then flip out afterwards. When the split happens I would have Vince and Flair do a draft and have neighter one pick Y2J, both would say that they forgot about him (which might be true ) Then Jericho snaps as a result of being disrespected by the heel and babyface owners and starts terrorizing everyone and beating up any one who gets in front of him. This would leave him as a tweener, who would target anybody heel or face and let the fans decide whether to cheer him or boo him. Once they decide, go with it and book him back up to the top. I would have booked Mr. Perfect as a face from the Rumble to Mania and turned him heel the Raw after. This would have taken advantage of his "welcome back" pops and given him clean wins to get himself and the Perfectplex over. Them turn him heel, a role which he is much better at playing and go from there. Storm would get an IC title run as a heel from me.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Shane McMahon - Face. The sympathy heat he had when he originally spoke out against his father and signed Austin back to the WWF all those days ago was tremendous. Exhibit B: The initial stages of the WCW invasion, when neither federation was really face or heel. The Dudleys - Heel. Remember when these guys were putting d*mn near anybody through tables, including Mae Young? Before the Wassup Drop became a phenomenon? It's hard to view them as heels now, but I'd say never have turned them in the first place and just let them be sadistic, crazy, and sometimes silly heels. Hurricane - Face, but not as the Hurricane. I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe when the split happens, we'll get to see...Th...*shudders*...Three Count again and people will remember why Helms was one of the big up-and-coming stars pre-invasion. Rock - Heel. The actual character of the Rock really lit it up as a Heel and all of that stuff is pretty much his trademarked schtick now. And it's not like he's invulnerable to scorn - many people favored Austin in their feud leading up to WM X-Seven and his 'popularity' could be one factor in why nobody would accept Austin's heel turn in the first place. Austin - Tweener. Give me the OLD Austin back: the Austin that stuffed Pillman's ankle in a chair and stepped on it; the Austin that brought out Austin 3:16 and essentially destroyed Jake Roberts; the Austin that refused help in getting out of the ring after WM13; the Austin that beat Vince McMahon over the head with a frickin' bedpan. The 'What?' crap has been an entertaining diversion and it gives a little coherency to Austin's heel turn and resulting insanity, but Austin without the edge really just ain't the same. The Hardyz - Face. Everybody's clamoring for a heel turn, but neither Jeff nor Matt are ultimately physically or intellectually that intimidating, and they've been much better suited in their roles as the sympathetic face tag team that always gets so close to winning the big one, but never quite gets it. Sure they may be stale, but you think they're going to work as heels? Forget it. RVD - Cocky Face. Keep him exactly as he is right now. He's a breath of fresh air compared with everybody else right now and that's exactly why he's one of the popular guys the WWF has. Vince McMahon - Face that nobody wants to cheer. The most inventive thing that they could do with Vince now is have him desperately try to be a benevolent owner and win his fans back, knowing that likely no one should ever trust him again. Vince as a manic heel has been PLAYED, but I certainly don't want the "Genetic Jackhammer" walking back into our lives again - make him humble, occasionally frustrated, but trying to make amends. Triple H - Heel that everybody wants to cheer for. Trips should be banging his head into the wall for what he's helped turn his imposing character into. One used to think that Triple H could pretty much take any body on, but over the last two months, his sympathetic face character has absolutely no comparison with the old "Cerebral Assassin" that screwed Mick Foley and almost destroyed Steve Austin's career. Give him respect, but don't make him soft EVER AGAIN - the events over the last two months should be enough to turn him back. Kane - Face. Pencil him as the 911 of the WWF - he's definitely got the "destroy everything in sight" factor down even more than the Big Show, but prolonged exposure to his ringwork will remind people why he's not a worthy contender for the World Championship. Jericho - For the love of GAWD, keep him heel. His run was going so well pre-Stephanie and I don't think I can ever see "The Living Legend" as a face ever again. Put him over Triple H, have him dump Stephanie, and let him run wild as a cowardly-but-credible heel. Tajiri - Face with evil tendencies or comedic heel. To me, Tajiri just seemed a little watered down in the WWF - it could be Torrie Wilson, it could be the WWF limiting his moveset, but he currently pales in comparison to his ECW character that would kick the teeth out of Super Crazy and then laugh at him. Or maybe not - who knows? ...and that, as they say, is that.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted March 18, 2002 RVD--I'd say continue to bury him.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Jericho definetly needs to stay heel. I'd keep him as champ until Summerslam, where he could lose the title to RVD, who would be over enough if allowed. A Booker face turn would be good. The spinaroonie gets face heat and so does he on occasions, plus it would allow him to speed up his offence.
