Only the most ignorant of marks would actually expect this go go through. The vast majority of marks (non-pre-pubescent ones, at least) know better.

It has been in the works for a couple months now, and this is just going to be a little test. Hopefully the heat is enormous and the build will strengthen because of this little fiasco.

Unlike most of you I think having Brock kill Team Angle can still work angle wise as long as Angle starts escaping the attacks. However it would be nice for Angle to get the better of Brock next week.

That would leave the NWO 3 on 3 being a handicap match with Brock coming down in the end to make the save. Then the weeks leading up the WM is Brock fighting off team angle and trying to heal his ankle.

That could be a good direction to go. Brock beats Haas and Benjamin, but when Angle comes in they all beat down Brock, allowing Angle to get the pin.

I don't think they should have done that deal on Smackdown with the two of them. They should have saved their first lock up until WrestleMania.

I dunno if we're ready to have Eric on the SD! roster, (would he join team angle?) but that would SO fit the fued. It wouldn't even make Kurt look bad to have Eric Squashed, hell, let him run in at the end of the match, and kick three types of shit out of brock with a chair. Hopefully this is what WWE is doing.

Brock should get his knee taken out and Angle should cut a killer promo asking Brock how it's going to feel in a cast like him. Right before he delivers the big blow, Edge and Benoit hit the ring but all get fought off. Team Angle stands victorious. At the six-man, have Brock and Angle never touch. Then in the final minutes, Angle and Brock get the tag, but Angle, everything spills over, and Angle somehow ends up with the knockout submission on the leg.

I really think that once the titles off Angle they have a perfect setup for the break-up (Team Angle was used by Angle to protect him but he doesn't have the title, Heyman failed to help Angle and lured him into a false sense of security), and Brock can move on (Benoit?). Then they have a return match, face vs. face at Summerslam where Angle goes over.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Possibilities: Brock vs. Rock for the title (Heyman could represent the Rock - I know the word is Rock is gone after mania but it would be perfect.) Benoit SHOULD get the title this year - it would be great if it took it off the Rock. Rock would be the perfect foil for Benoit and they have history to build off of. I would personally like to see Rock hold the belt hostage and say that he is leaving for hollywood in a month and that he's taking the title with him. Benoit can bring the title back home and he's the hero. What about Edge? Edge vs. Angle again? Edge vs. Benoit? Edge vs. Brock? An Edge heel turn? It's possible - and the WWF likes to have their wrestlers have a big heel turn before they win the title (Jericho, HHH, Rock, Angle). They could do a whole spring/summer/fall series with Benoit, Angle, Brock and Edge.

I really think that Edge/Benoit at next year would be a really good match. Edge, the young gun who gave everything he had up, turned on the fans, and turned heel to get the title; against the grizzled veteran who is getting his shot at the big title at the biggest show of the year, his quest coming to an end. Those short, sports promos are working out well and I think they could build this up if Edge takes the title off Angle at Vengeance.

Every time it looked like he was coming back, something else would get hurt. This makes Kanyon's situation look like a walk in the park.

I'll have to check to see when he last wrestled at OVW, but he definitely didn't on their TV taping held four days ago. He's like the Ahmed Johnson of 2003 with all these injuries. It seems every few months I hear about a new or recurring one.
