Guest Kinetic Report post Posted February 15, 2003 See my avatar? I have that tattooed on my face.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 15, 2003 Your ink will be sore for a week, methinks. At least that's what my Health teacher told us earlier this year. Just keep cleaning it with anti-bacterial stuff, and cover it from direct sunlight for a few weeks (of course, it's on your lower back, so it should be covered). Guest TheCynicalHateMongerFromHell Report post Posted February 15, 2003 I have a Tazmanian Devil biting through a hockey stick on my right arm. I need to get it touched up though.
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted February 15, 2003 What guys get tattoos on their lower back? Are you gonna get bumfucked or something?
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted February 15, 2003 Hey, I know plenty of guys who have tattoos on their lower backs. When I visit them in San Francisco this summer, I'll ask what the deal is.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted February 15, 2003 Hey, I might be going to San Francisco this summer. Don't say such things.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted February 16, 2003 I liked how the guy doing mine said it would hurt at first, but would numb up as he went along. It was strangely comforting. But, uh, no interesting stories/infections/what-not. Sorry.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted February 16, 2003 How much does it hurt to get one on, say, your middle finger? That's the site of my future tattoo. (It's either gonna be an ankh or the Robin logo from "Batman". Just a little "R" in a circle...) And really, getting a tattoo on the small of your back is.. innarestin'. But good luck with it; hopefully it won't grow infected and give you some fatal disease.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 16, 2003 I never got Infestions or had any odd stories about my Tats... I have a Christian Slayed Knife imbedded into my back with little tricklets of Blood... I also have a heart with a Tiny "34" printed in the corner...
Guest DrTom Report post Posted February 16, 2003 I have tattoos on my upper arms (short-sleeved shirts cover them pretty well), neither of which hurt much when I got them. It was more like a dull ache that was vaguely annoying, but completely tolerable. I was always told to keep clothes away from it while it's scabbing over, since they might stick to the scabs. Using some non-alcohol based moisturizer is also a good idea, IIRC (it's been a while since I've gotten them).
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted February 16, 2003 The more "meat" you have where you're getting the tattoo, the less it will hurt (or so I've heard). I got mine on my left shoulder blade, so mine hurt a little when he started out. Using some non-alcohol based moisturizer is also a good idea, IIRC (it's been a while since I've gotten them). Yeah, I was told to put petroleum jelly on it 2x a day for about a week.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 16, 2003 I'm going to be getting a plague of locusts up my left arm and shoulder here somewhat soon. I'm considering having the vanguard of the swarm look like it's chewing my flesh.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted February 16, 2003 Hey, I might be going to San Francisco this summer. Don't say such things. !!!! You go anywhere NEAR San Francisco, you let me know! Even if I'm not at home for some strange reason, I'll make the drive back up and I can give you a tour or something. Even though I've lived in the Bay Area all my life, I've never been clubbing in San Fran. Oh yea, and it's not like the gays are going to bite you or anything (now the lesbians, THAT'S a whole other story right there). If it really bothers you, just stay out of the Castro, the "gay district".
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted February 16, 2003 Actually, I'd probably go into that area just to hear some good dance music.

Guest What? Report post Posted February 17, 2003 hmmm I'm gettin the Foundation symbol (just a pink F in a black circle...looks cool) tattooed on my left forearm and the Daredevil symbol on the right forearm. One D will be red, the other black. I kick ass

I'm considering having the vanguard of the swarm look like it's chewing my flesh. I'd vote against the flesh chewing. Interactive ink is... difficult to achieve, at best. That's what I was thinking. I can still go with my backup plan though, which is them descending upon the last supper on my back. That's going to require a lot of money and a lot of time, though, so I'm just starting with the locusts.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Last supper on the back is pretty cool... I considered getting a crucifixion on my back, but I decided against it. It wouldn't have really looked right geometrically.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Depending on how much money I want to invest in the thing throughout my life, I might get a bunch of ashtrays and 40 oz's put on the table. Perhaps they'll be eating chinese take-out as well. All the disciples will still be there, same poses and everything, just empty plates, ashtrays, liquor bottles, tipped over chinese food cartons and pizza boxes, and everything will be infested with the locust swarm. Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted February 17, 2003 If I ever get a tattoo, it'd be the Ministry of Sound logo on my shoulder/arm area, you know, above the bicep, that muscle there:
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 17, 2003 You clearly put thought into this... Hours. No sense in getting any ink done without thinking about it. Otherwise, it's likely that one will end up with a ghey little flower or lizard or something.

If it really bothers you, just stay out of the Castro, the "gay district". I worked in San Francisco for 2 years in the uglier part of town. One day a buddy and I were walking to get lunch and saw an obvious transvestite. He/she noticed me staring and asked me if I wanted dick. I made sure to never make eye contact with anyone again. Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted February 18, 2003 And when he says 'obvious transvestite', he means, like, with a mustache. All the rumors you've heard about San Francisco, all the stereotypes, it's all 100% true.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted February 18, 2003 Yes, I have been there plenty of times. I went to a 49er game, and the stadium is in the middle of the ghetto as you drive through the projects to get there. Also, the place where I see concerts is in a different part of the ghetto. Now when you go down to the piers....whooo boy, be prepared for ANYTHING.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted February 18, 2003 Pier 39, home of the Bushman. There is this guy that covers himself in bush so that you can't see him. He waits for someone to walk by and then jumps out at them scaring the living shit out of tourists. He's been on the same spot for well over 10 years. People sit there and watch him scare people. I've watched him for hours laughing my ass off. People give him spare change and such and he keeps coming back every day. Back to the transvestites, yes with mustaches and all. There is one I used to see wandering around all the time. Looked like a dude just slapped on some lipstick and eye shadow and just went out. Scary shit. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I've never heard of the bushman. A pity, too, since I love local cult weirdos.. I'll have to check it out if I'm in the area.
