Guest HartFan86 Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 I know Austin is a huge fan of Black Label Society and I have recently been downloading some of them and "Bleed for Me" sounds just like his Alliance theme song. Obviously, Jericho is into Fozzy, but that's pretty obvious. So would anyone have any sites, interviews, articles, etc. of wrestler's favorite songs and bands?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 RVD's favorite band is Kottonmouth Kings....*cough*
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 I heard Albert's a big fan of the Original Cast Recording of Hair. [rimshot]
Guest T®ITEC Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 I think Jericho's also a fan of Dream Theatre. Sure.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 I know Austin is a huge fan of Black Label Society and I have recently been downloading some of them and "Bleed for Me" sounds just like his Alliance theme song. Probably because Zakk Wylde (BLS guitarist/vocalist/songwriter/studio bassist) was the one that did the guitar work for his Alliance theme. Jericho's into A LOT of old-school metal and glam rock, too. But his favorite band in the world is Dream Theater. Can't say I can blame him for it, either. I know HHH is HHHeavily in Motörhead (he even appears on their album Hammered, which has HHH's song, "The Game," as a special bonus track). Foley was into Christmas carols and Leonard Cohen and Steppenwolf. Wrestling seems to be chock full of Society Dwellers (Black Label Society fans). Off the top of my head: Steve Austin, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Undertaker (actually a good friend of Zakk), BG James, Chris Jericho, and many others. Vampiro is a legitimate ICP fan, and a huge mark for The Misfits. Raven digs Nevermore. I'm waiting for some wrestler to talk about Shadows Fall sometime in the future.

Himmm...intresting. I figured Johnston did it, and since Austin loves BLS so much that he just had them do a rip off of it. Undertaker (actually a good friend of Zakk) Doesn't surprise me..."Life, Birth, Blood, Doom" sounds something Taker would use. Same with Jericho..."Bleed for Me" and the beginning of "Lost Heaven" sounds like "With the Fire.
Guest raptor Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 It's common knowledge that Matt Hardy is a huge Pearl Jam fan. The "guns" were lifted from the Jeremy video, I believe.
Guest HartFan86 Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Also, I believe Bret Hart is a big Pearl Jam fan as well.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 You know...I wonder how many of these wrestlers who say "I like hard rock" or "I'm a big hip hop fan" are just lying. I wonder how many of these guys actually listen to stuff like Frank Sinatra, Classical music, showtunes, 60's r&b, disco and other such stuff. I wonder how many lie about their musical tastes to keep up the "manly man" persona and to avoid being made fun of in the locker room.
cawthon777 Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Also, I believe Bret Hart is a big Pearl Jam fan as well. Bret's big into Pearl Jam and U2 from what I read years ago
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 I'm dying to know which ones are big Techno or Pop marks. If Victoria told them she wanted Tatu as her theme, I'd love her forever.
Guest Steviekick Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Blue Meanie and Nova are big into hair metal and 80s hard rock. Jerry Lynn is all about death metal. All he did was wear really cool death metal shirts in backstage things from ECW.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 In an old issue of WOW I have, Jerry Lynn lists his Top 5 Death Metal Albums Ever. ...3 of them suck balls... ...guess he just doesn't like GOOD death metal...
Guest Steviekick Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 hehe...even still, Jerry Lynn is metal enough to throw up the horns without pissing me off
Guest Choken One Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Hey, Jerry Lynn had that RAWKSOME song "How U Remind me!"... what?
Guest Annoyed Grunt Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Foley loves Christmas music
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Hey, Jerry Lynn had that RAWKSOME song "How U Remind me!"... what? lol.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Stevie Richards has a "Motley Crue" tat on his left arm. So, I hope he likes the Crue, because if I had a tat of a bullshit rock band on my arm, I'd make damn sure I liked them...
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 It's common knowledge that Matt Hardy is a huge Pearl Jam fan Bret's big into Pearl Jam Awesome.
Guest Eyeball Kid Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 It's a little known fact that The Big Show is into the Smiths. I read an interview where he said that "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" moves him to tears.

Guest Steviekick Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Wow. Couldn't anyone here see Big Show being very upset that everyone on the Net doesn't like him, and him quoting the chorus to "how soon is now" and crying?
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 In Foley's book, he admitted that he and Meanie were fans of Britney Spears. EDIT: That is, in Foley is Good.

I read an interview where he said that "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" moves him to tears. I'm ashamed to admit that I'd never heard this song before, only of it. I dl'd it a while ago and can't stop listening to it. I enjoy some of The Smiths other stuff but Goddamn if this isn't the most marvelous song I've ever heard.

Couldn't anyone here see Big Show being very upset that everyone on the Net doesn't like him, and him quoting the chorus to "how soon is now" and crying? I doubt it. Although if he does he has wads of cash to use to wipe the tears away from that big-ass guaranteed contract.
