Movies that never get old

Well, we all have those movies that we watch 2 or three times a week for the rest of our lives. What are yours?

Rumble in the Bronx- Simply one of Jackie's best movie. There is no better way to say it. Lots of great action and it never gets old to me. I watched it last night for the 4 time this week! I can't even imagine how many times I have watched that movie since I got it.

Con Air- I saw it 2 in the threatres, and bought it and must have watched it about 50 times.

I know it's been way overplayed for a lot of people but I gotta say the Matrix.  Any time I need an action binge, that one's first on the list.

Outside of that, I'd probably say Fight Club or Monty Python and the Holy Grail, as I always fight something new and hilarious about both of them each time I watch them.

Big Trouble in Little China

Quite simply it's Kurt Russell's finest film.

Perfect blend of camp, goofball humor, martial arts, and 1970s kung fu horror, all wrapped up in one package.

Goddamn, Carpenter was great back in the 80s.

Escape from New York. The film that made me love movies. I must've seen it atleast 50-60 times since I first saw it when I was 10, and the strange thing is I actually like it even better now. Now if only they could make a better DVD...

I can also watch any James Bond film over and over and enjoy them (as well I should, I practically grew up on those films).

:0    I would have to say some of my favs:

A Bronx Tale (Great Movie about NY life in the 50's and best mob film since goodfellas, and of course it had the best line of any movie "Put him in the batTHROOM(ny accented)"

The Jerk (One of the funniest movies I have ever seen, "Hey I wonder how Naven is.  well why dont you ask him he still outside." and "you mean my skin is gonna stay this color?"

Vegas Vacation (Arguably my fav comedy, too many funny things to list : pick a number, pappageorgio, the hoover dam scene

Ace Ventura 1 and 2

The Scout (My fav sports movie "what are you doin steve, throwin plates!"

any others from you guys?

Wet Hot American Summer.

I bought the DVD maybe 7 weeks ago and have seen it maybe once or twice a week.  This movie is so incredibly funny.  My pick for funniest of 2001, easily.

"Do you know where the POWDER PACKETS ARE?"

"Yes"

"THEY ARE IN THE PANTRY RIGHT NEXT TO MY DICK CREAM"

Canadian Bacon.

Anyone Canadian seen that movie knows why

As a US citizen, the only joke in Canadian Bacon that I got, IIRC, was the mountie pulling over John Candy's truck because he didn't write his anti-Canadian slogans in French as well as English.

Man, I was just watching Willy Wonka, which happens to be my favorite non-Star Wars movie ever and it rules the earth. I'm still singing the damm Oompa-Loompa song!

Not only is Willy Wonka a good movie, it's also the source of a lot of good parodies, too.  These include a Futurama episode (Grunka-Lunkas instead of Oompa-Loompas), a Family Guy episode (Chumba-Wumbas), and WWF Rebellion 99 (Rock telling HHH to stick an Oompa-Loompa up his candy ass.  ... so THAT's where Taz was between Anarchy Rulz '99 and Royal Rumble 2000.  No wonder HHH looked constipated for two months.)
