Guest redneckBEBE Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Jericho is starting to give me a lot of Nature Boy vibes lately. In my opinion, he is: - The #1 worker on RAW, above Goldust. - The #1 heel on RAW. - The #1 heel in the entire company...Angle is arguably #1, but sometimes you see isolated incidents of the fans wanting to cheer him (Survivor Series), whereas Jericho is pretty much universally booed. - One of the top five workers in the entire company. Kurt is higher but Jericho's carrying skills are getting pretty fucking amazing. What do you guys think?
J.B. Buzzkill 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Goldust= #2 worker on Raw?! Jericho= #1 heel on Raw?! Gimme a break.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted February 17, 2003 I can't think of anyone who gets more heat on Raw than Jericho. You can argue HHH, but then again, he really sucks it hard.
Guest TheCynicalHateMongerFromHell Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Goldust= #2 worker on Raw?! Jericho= #1 heel on Raw?! Gimme a break. Who is a better heel on RAW? Who is that much better than Goldust on RAW?
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted February 17, 2003 No. - The #1 worker on RAW, above Goldust. Comparing the #1 worker on RAW with the #1 worker in NWA 1989 is a "little" different. - The #1 heel on RAW. As much as I hate to say it, Trips is the #1 heel on RAW. - The #1 heel in the entire company...Angle is arguably #1, but sometimes you see isolated incidents of the fans wanting to cheer him (Survivor Series), whereas Jericho is pretty much universally booed. Jericho gets cheered quite a bit. And wasn't Angle semi-face around Survivor Series? - One of the top five workers in the entire company. Kurt is higher but Jericho's carrying skills are getting pretty fucking amazing. Maybe. He hasn't really carried anyone, has he? He's a good worker, but he isn't what Flair was. Guest redneckBEBE Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Goldust= #2 worker on Raw?! He's a better worker (right now) than HHH, RVD, Booker T, Christian, William Regal, Hurricane, Rico, and Lance Storm. You might feel that Storm has historically been a better worker, but Goldust is in a groove right now and he is having much better matches than Storm. Guys like Dreamer, Kane, Bradshaw, Jeff Hardy, Chris Nowinski, Maven, 3 Minute Warning, etc. aren't even in Goldy's class. Jericho= #1 heel on Raw?! Who is more over as a heel? 3 Minute Warning have that legit, "bad" heat. So does HHH. The only guy more over as a heel is Bischoff...maybe...and he's not a wrestler. J.B. Buzzkill 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 . Who is that much better than Goldust on RAW? Good point, but Goldie isn't #2. I think Booker T, Y2J, Christian, and Lance Storm are better.
Guest redneckBEBE Report post Posted February 17, 2003 He's a good worker, but he isn't what Flair was. Flair had guys like Steamboat to work with, Jericho gets booked with guys like Test and Kane.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 I think Jericho has improved greatly after the diasater of the summer of 2002 was for him. I think one big factor was him signing a new contract after his thing with John Cena and so he became more motivated. It was weird watching him from KOTR 2002 to about Summerslam 2002 cause it seemed like he just didn't care at all (Remember the internet backlash on the fans? Probalby a big reason). I wouldn't compare Jericho to Flair, though...but the similarites are their in chrisma.

So? I don't recall Jericho carrying Test or Kane to **** matches lately.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Flair took guys roided-up guys who weren't terribly good like Nikita Koloff, Lex Luger, and Road Warrior Hawk and had ***+ matches with them. Jericho is very good, but he hasn't done that yet. He's still able to get ** matches out of Big Slow, Big Poppa Pump, and Hulk Hogan, though.
Guest redneckBEBE Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Yeah, and Hawk circa 1985 > Steiner circa 2003 or Big Show circa whenever.
Guest Mikazuki Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Jericho always starts getting cheered after a few weeks, and then has to insult fans or do something especially bad.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Those reactions show that Jericho needs to go face but keep his same character. The problem is that Trips is the only other heel of note on RAW and can't work for shit these days, so Jericho is the heel workhorse for that side of the roster. Guest Nater Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Too bad that redneck made a good point in this thread and is banned anyhow. Nelson: haha~ What makes HHH a better heel than Jericho? +The fact that he has lackeys helps him. +Has been able to make Steiner somewhat interesting. +Having the belt and dodging defenses helps (though, it may be construed as politics). - His-uh speeches are-uh boring. - I have to pay money to see his matches, he IS NOT that good. Jericho better than HHH +Sloppy seconds on HHH's work. +He can irritate like the best of them +Can put off great matches -Conspiracy Victim Goldust +Good technique and ideas +We can always hope this electrocution bit will go somewhere (dont worry, it wont_ -Interviews and backstage bits dont lend credibility to his threat +/- homo-ghey is just as confusing to throw into positive or negative

Guest Nater Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Well, not so much a good point as a 'sound arguement'. One that he stayed on topic with and argued for and allowed others to argue with. Why? It's a debatable topic. "Is Jericho the new Flair?" Does he suit the purpose of elevating talent and performing matches. Is it possible to even fill those shoes. He didnt ask exactly that but, I do

FigureFourTapes 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Well in response to the question is he the next Flair. I don't see how he even thought this. Jericho is a good worker who I enjoy watching, but he is just sloppy alot of the time in the ring. No way is he the next Ric Flair, I see the next Flair being Kurt Angle.
