QUESTION: I thought Ricco was fighting Tank. I'm pretty sure I saw promos of the two saying they were better than one another. Did they change the match? If they did than why?

No, the promos were fucked up though.

 

The advertising was for the return of Tank and Ricco's first title defense. As if that weren't confusing enough, they decided to have Ricco standing there talking about how Tank doesn't belong with today's heavyweights.

 

So they didn't have opponents for either of them yet and decided to just make it as confusing as possible...but they weren't supposed to be against each other.

Getting my press credentials (thank you college newspaper) approved, and then I'll be there with some nice seats baby!

 

I could really care less about who wins, all I know is that I can get a phone interview with Tank Abbott if I want. I can ask him to explain what Tank Sinatra (or whatever it was going to be) was about.

 

I've only watched three UFC events before, and those three were videos from sometime between 1 and 15, so I'm not really up to speed. Hopefully it'll be a good event, with no matches like the one I saw on one of those tapes where the two guys circled around each other for 20 minutes before they mercifully did the time-limit draw.
