Guest papacita Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Ok, I'm playing Sonic 3 for Genesis (first time since 5th Grade) and I'm stuck on Act 2 of the Carnival Night Zone. I'm assuming it's at the end of the stage because a door shut and won't allow me to go back. Anyway, there's this big spinning cylinder blocking my path...when you jump on it, it goes down a bit, then bounces back up, but I can never seem to get it to go down as far as I need it to go. It's hard to explain, but does anybody know how to get past this part?
Guest treble charged Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 You need to jump on the cylinder thing and press up and down on the D-pad to move it up and down and get to wherever you want to go.
Guest B-X Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Oh Man. That stage gave me fucking nightmares. But the cylinder is able to move down a LONG way, You have to keep jumping on it, I believe, until it dips down far enough for you to escape.
Guest papacita Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Got it. A game like that has no business being so damn hard. lol. Thanks.
Guest Dace59 Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Apperenytly, that bit was so hard, that at one time, the opening message of Sega's game help that ended with "And to get passed those spinning cyclinders on Carnival Nights on Sonic 3..." Becuase they had so many calls about it. They really should have give more help with that bit.
Guest EQ Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 I hate that part. Once I died cause the time ran out after me being stuck there for so long.
