Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 I rule this school In the tradition of Half Baked, Dirty Work and Office Space comes the next big Cult Comedy Classic... OLD SCHOOL. Going into the theatre I wasn't really expecting much. The previews weren't that funny -or specific- and it looked to be just another 'buddys need to get rich quick scheme', formulaic comedy. I expected voice-overs and flashbacks along with a bunch of really bad sight gags with Will Farrell getting naked. I was wrong... And right. There were no voice overs, there were no flashbacks, but dear god... Will Farrells bare ass is burned into my mind. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in a theatre, and so constantly. I was SHOCKED at how funny this film was. Will Farrells sight gags were hilarious, Vince Vaughns performance was classic, Luke Wilson played it typically low key and played the straightman really well. Craig KILBAHRN deserves a best supporting actor nod... GIVE THAT MAN HIS OSCAR! Some really great cameos - specifically 2 from the daily show and 2 Mad TV alums - which I marked out for, and the pacing was just right. This movie was fucking FUN and fucking FUNNY. WATCH! LOVE! LAUGH!
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 I am already set to go Friday night. This is the first movie that I have actually been hyped to see in a while.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Will Ferrel's ass and Sam Rockwells ass now share a permanent spot together in my mind under the "Celebrity Male Ass" section. Having said that, this is easily one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in a long time, possibly my lifetime. I can't remember the last time an entire theatre was fuckin rioting and having spasms in their seats from laughing so hard. Vaughn, Ferrel and Wilson all play their parts well and Kilbon is such a fuckin prick you'd think he was trained in the art of dickery by King of Dicks, Shinjiro Ohtani. See this movie now! If your sides don't hurt from laughter then you honestly have no soul.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 (we were at a sneak preview - they have to wait till friday) ACK! Our affiliation is revealed! NEVER MIND! *Closes curtain*
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted February 17, 2003 Report Posted February 17, 2003 Uh.......shit....uh. I don't know no Rudo man. Who is he? *Closes door, jumps out window and drives away.*
Guest Hitman Jebus Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 <-----Went to the Montreal Sneak Preview! This Friday...YOU WILL GO SEE THIS MOVIE! OH YES! YOU WILL! Everyone was great BUT a star is born in Ferrell...he's simply brilliant in this. I know, we all love him already, but now that he's stealing all the films he's in, soon he'll be making 20 mil$ per film!
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 But c'mon THE MAN in this film was either Kilbourn or Vaughn. POWERHOUSES BABY!
Guest Eagan469 Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 looks on Kazaa.......... FUCK YES! HUZZAH FOR KAZAA! I'm watching me a movie tonight
Guest Ravenbomb Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 careful, I downloaded 'DareDevil' twice on KaZaA. Once it was The Barbershop and once it was Lilo and Stitch.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 careful, I downloaded 'DareDevil' twice on KaZaA. Once it was The Barbershop and once it was Lilo and Stitch. I downloaded "The Ring", in two parts. The first part was flawless, and the second cut off the top third of the screen. I never bothered to DL the rest, I was so frustrated.
