Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Hey guys Dazed and Confused is on USA right now (replay at 10pm). I love this film. It's the Fast Times of my generation. Whole bunch of guys who weren't famous at the time now are famous. Plus the film is funny. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 17, 2003 A little on the overrated side, decient, but it's no Fast Times... I can't watch movies on USA, too much editing
Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Ben Affleck was the Bomb Yo
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted February 17, 2003 In Phantoms maybe, but not Dazed. In fact, that wasn't Ben in Confused but his overweight older brother, Barney Affleck. //sarcasm
Guest razazteca Report post Posted February 17, 2003 so is it Jason or Jermany London in this movie? This almost feels like a View Askew movie with London, Adams, Affleck in this movie. Before they went to the Mall they were in Highschool.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 17, 2003 It and Fast Times are even to me. However If i had to choose one i'd pick Dazed and Confuses over Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted February 17, 2003 It's Jason London who's in Dazed, Jeremy's in Mallrats. And yeah, you can't forget that Joey Adams has a small part in Dazed as well. But there's alot of other cool folks that I mark out for like Rory Cochrane (Love and a .45, Empire Records), Nicky Katt (Boiler Room, The Doom Generation, Boston Public), Parkey Posey (THE ULTIMATE indie film chick), Milla Jovovich (I shouldn't have to list any film credits for her), Adam Goldberg (Saving Private Ryan) and to further the 6 Degrees of Saving Private Ryan dichotomy, Giovanni Ribisi's twin sister, Marissa is in Dazed, too. But it's Matthew McConaughey's character that delivers one of my favorite lines in the entire movie. "That's the thing about high school girls. I keep gettin' older and they stay THE SAME AGE." Anyone here seen or like Empire Records, while we're on the subject? I rented this by accident one day (thinking Renee Zellweger was Joey Adams on the box cover. I had just seen Mallrats and fell in LOVE with Adams). But this flick wasn't bad as far as eye candy goes and it introduced me to a bunch of folks I still follow. The afforementioned Rory Cochrane, Renee Zellweger, of course, (she turned out to be quite the surprise by the time the movie was over, I was in love AGAIN and had forgotten all about Adams. It didn't hurt that Renee plays a complete SLUT in it) and Robin Tunney (The Craft) It didn't quite introduce me to Liv Tyler or Debi Mazar, but it didn't hurt that they were here and that goofy kid from Can't Hardly Wait is in it, too, I believe. Guest TheCynicalHateMongerFromHell Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Empire Records didn't have the same biting humor as D&C. It was a below average plot with good actors/actresses involved. Its definetly a movie to check out, but I'd personally never purchase the DVD. Dazed is one of those movies that is so great because of the jokes. Its a movie you could pop in, and laugh at parts even before they happen. It really doesn't have a plot, aside from Pink fighting against authority, but the movie is one soooo many can identify with. I think I can relate to every single part of that movie, and its sense of humor. It'll always stay near and dear to my heart because of it.
Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Empire Records is a great movie, which I still watch I got into CSI Miami because I saw Rory Cochrane
Guest cpac Report post Posted February 17, 2003 Here is a little tidbit for all of you. Renee Zelwegger was in Dazed and Confused, but her scenes were cut out in post production during editing. If you squint a couple of times when all the senior girls are together, you can see her. Speaking of the movie, I wonder whatever happened to Willey Wiggins. After that movie with Winona Ryder, he fell off the face of the earth. By the way, this movie has one of the best soundtracks ever.
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted February 17, 2003 One of my favourite films ever. I could literally watch it over and over again.
Guest MDH257 Report post Posted February 18, 2003 Mallrats and Dazed had the same casting director. That's part of the reason why so many actors are in both. Jim Jacks was a producer on both movies as well.
Guest Mole Report post Posted February 18, 2003 I love this movie. If you listen carefully, you can hear Slater talking about dropping acid.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted February 18, 2003 Suburbia owns all of those movies, although I suppose Suburbia is a different type.....Fast Times/Dazed both kick ass.....as well as breakfast club, Can't Hardly Wait and many others.

I know he was in Linkleter's Waking Life, now that's a cool movie too.
