Why are there no american tag tourneys

I was thinking why are there no tag team tourneyments in the indy circuit. While there are dozens of singles tourney in america.

 

I woude love to see a tag tourney useing any of the big three's tournament formats either ecwa's 8 entrent tourney iwa ms's 16 entrant tourney or czw 12 entrant tourney.

I thought that there was one last year. Wasn't it when Russ Haas died or something like that? I knew it was a memeorial tournament.

Becauset here's very little emphasis on tag team wrestling aside from brothers, because the view in the American indies is everyone is working on their own for a job at the top.

PCW did the "Russ Haas Memorial Cup" that had these matches:

The Island Boys (Rosie was injured so R.C. (Charlie) Haas took his place) vs The Hit Squad vs Malice & Seven

 

Revolution (Damaja & Doug Basham) vs Joey Matthews & Christian York vs The Ballard Brothers

 

Nick Dinsmore & Lance Cade vs United Nations vs Matt Vandal & Bo Dupp

 

Steve Corino & RED vs Revolution

 

R.C. Haas & Island Boy Jamal vs United Nations

 

Revolution vs R.C. Haas & NOVA

 

I didn't like it upon first viewing but will have to go back and watch it again. The teams did not stay constant throughout the tournament with guys getting hurt and turning on each other after advancing to the next round. Red partnered with both Stryker & Corino and Haas partnered with Jamal & Nova.

 

 

 

 

ROH had a good tag-team tournament at "Uncripted". Here were the matches:

The Hidaka/Togo matches with Maritato/Mamaluke & Daniels/Morgan were really good

 

 

I agree with you guys. I love tag-team wrestling and would love to see a Super 8 Tag-Tournament or a Sweet Science 16 Tag-tournament.

Wasn't the tournament in Chicago called T3 or somethung like that
