Guest Karnage Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 So, does anyone know any Bruceploitation movies that might be good or so bad they are good that are worth checking out? By Bruceploitation I mean movies starring Bruce Li, Bruce Le, Dragon Lee, etc.
Guest razazteca Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 after checking IMDB I found out that New Fist of Fury had Jackie Chan and Fist of Fury 3 had Bruce Li.
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon. Does it get any better than Bruce F'n Leroy?? Not to mention Shogun. Sho'nuff!!
Guest Annoyed Grunt Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 Check out "Fist of Fear, Touch of Death", "Fists of Bruce Lee" and 'Bruce Lee Fights Back From the Grave". I got all 3 on one DVD for $7
Guest razazteca Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 Last Dragon does rule "Kiss My Converse"
Guest DVD Spree Posted February 18, 2003 Report Posted February 18, 2003 Don't be fooled by New Fist of Fury - Jackie CHan's been in some shit movies, and this is one of them. But for Bruceploitation, it honestly doesn't get any better than Game of Death 2. HE EATS DEER MEAT, DRINKS BLOOD AND FIGHTS LIKE A PEACOCK. And the helicopter thing is so much like the Big Show-Bossman angle it just isn't funny. Actually, it IS pretty funny. It's an HKL DVD, so it's loaded with features, commentary etc., and it's on sale for about £8 nowadays, so pick it up!

Guest DVD Spree Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 I'm sure http://www.play.com has it cheap as most HKL DVDs are only £8.99 there, but specifically the place I saw it cheap was at the Virgin Megastore (in Merry Hill, if that makes any difference). They don't usually offer the same discounts online as they do instore, but try http://www.virginmega.co.uk

Just curious, but can we call the original "Game of Death" Brucesplotation?
Guest Karnage Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I haven't seen G.O.D. yet but the from the looks of some of the scenes they showed in the A&E Biography, iy looks horrible! There was that scene with a picture of his head pasted on the mirror with the body double standing behind it, and that other scene where something falls down and when you see Bruce looking up, its all grainy and its a different setting! I also can't believe they didn't use that 40+ minutes of footage from the Warrior's Journey DVD.

Guest DVD Spree Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I would definitely call the '78 Game of Death Bruceploitation... as would Kareem, Chuck Norris, Pele, and everyone else who refused to be in it. Raymond Chow is Vince McMahon. I'm about to buy Bruce Li's New Game of Death on eBay (gag gift for a friend) for £1 - it's overpriced.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Wasn't there one of these films that featured three "fake Bruce"'s and the plot was that a mad scientist had made robot clones of Bruce Lee that ended up fighting each other?
Guest DVD Spree Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Sounds like a Bruce Li film to me...
