Guest Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Stephanie precipitates it. Not Vince, not Flair, not the Board of Directors, not Linda. Stephanie. JR noted that Steph has the right to 50% of EVERYTHING that HHH ever earns in his life. There are two titles that make the Undisputed Championship. I think you see where this is going. This revelation hit me as soon as he said it, and Lawler said how Steph hated HHH or something like that. You heard it here first: The Split will be prompted by Stephanie claiming one of the titles for herself and Daddy Vince. Reasoning: It's Stephanie, she'll be on our televisions somehow in an overimportant role. Both companies will need a world title belt. 50% of 2 is 1. HHH wrangled his way higher on the card than Hogan/Rock, proving Steph's clout. How to stop such a possibility from occurring: Sorry, nothing other than blowing Titan Towers up is going to stop this. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 18, 2002 I think you have a point ther and I can see that happening. I think it would be possibly the stupidest way possible for the split to occur but at least it's logical. The split should probably just be a Vince/Flair thing where they can't get along, they already fought and still hate each other so they just split.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Good idea with one fatal flaw. It wouldnt really be split because HHH and Steph are still to entwined. McMahons could take one title but HHH is still the other champion. He would have to drop that title very soon after that split or else it wouldnt be a true split. oops...forgot to finish my though there. HHH Ain't droppin that title anytime soon. Guest Report post Posted March 18, 2002 I think that we're forgetting that intelligence in storylines and angles has been long lost, the last thing that really made sense happening somewhere around... hmm... okay, it's late and I can't think of it, but evidence of treating us like idiots with memories like fish can be found no further back than Monday, where the Board gives Vince a vote of confidence... AFTER SAYING HE WAS GOING TO KILL THE COMPANY! "I'm gonna do it, ME, VINCE McMAHON!" Ergh. I'm getting frazzled. I stuck around during the Two-Man Power Trip, surely I can last through whatever they do until Benoit returns.
Guest Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Oh, and unless he wants to start becoming familiar with his right hand soon, he'll drop that title when the bookers, specifically Steph, tell him to.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted March 18, 2002 He'll drop the title when he wants to. He's Stephanie's ticket to tv each week
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 I think it would be a better idea to have HHH wrestle somebody ie. Angle, Jericho, #### even RVD (He's the IC Champ who's #1 contender) have some screwy finish that will cause Vince & Ric to claim one guy is the Champ. Have a 16 Man touranment that takes place on Raw & Smackdown. The finals would take place at Backlash with one guy winning. I've read the WWF Champ will be the only guy to appear on both shows. Anything to keep the Steph angle from happening.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted March 18, 2002 DUDE! You stole that right of my head! LOL. I was just sitting there thinking while posting in other threads about this 2 titles thing and 50% BS and then I thought "Sh*t she's going to take one of the titles and give it to Jericho!" I quickly ran to post it and noticed your thread. But that's scary that 2 people had the exact same thought! I hope that isn't a sign that other people(i.e. booking committee members) haven't had the same idea! WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Dude, splitting the titles would suck. Why can't Vince ban Steph from tv again with her groveling at daddy's feet. get that bitch off my tv. Then again, she has provided us with some free nudity, so I'm torn. Ok, keep her on tv naked with a muzzle.
Guest Rabies Report post Posted March 18, 2002 It makes sense and seems like the direction they're going in. Don't forget about the "review" of Flair's suspension as active owner tomorrow night on Raw. I predict Trip will drop the WWF title by giving it to Steph/Vince, and take the Gold belt with him to Flair's fed. Then there will be a tournament to crown a new WWF champ. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Except keep Trips on RAW with the WWF belt. I don't want him on the more workrate intensive Smackdown.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Yes I agree. I have been saying it in many posts on the split subject. I strongly believe, as corny as it is, that is where the whole 50/50 thing is headed.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted March 18, 2002 I've already commented on this (towards end of Feb. beginning of March, but it's on this board somewhere!), and I gave the whole proposal of Steph taking one belt for herself, etc., plus I had the proposed rosters for each fed. It's here in the WWF forum somewhere. This just seems to be the most logical (well, nothing in the WWF is ever logical), most plausible scenario right now. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted March 18, 2002 . HHH wrangled his way higher on the card than Hogan/Rock, proving Steph's clout. This is utter crap. The WWF had been wrestling for the last week with itself as to which match should go last. I don't think anyone couldve predicted the Hogan/Rock match taking that much energy out of the crowd. Plus the title match should go last to help put over the title, which is the right thing in the long run for BUSINESS! The bookers just dropped the ball on the placement of the card. Bet it feels real easy to just blame Steph for anything that goes wrong.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 The card WAS screwed up, but the placement of the Rock-Hogan and HHH-Jericho matches are questionable rather than outright screwups. Rock-Hogan and Flair-Taker were the two most hyped matches coming into the night, yet the Undisputed Championship got the prime spot despite all the divorice bullshit like Lucy the dog and the skin cream. The REAL screwups were putting the Women's Triple Threat and the Red Tights Party's title defense near the end of the card above Flair-Taker and Austin-Hall. Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I don't know.....Trips has been known for a fact to be a politican. It is possible he convinced Vince to take care of him which back-fired.
