Guest Ace309 Report post Posted February 18, 2003 I think we're all familiar with some of the signals that referees use. For example, Earl Hebner made blatant use of the "shoot injury" X when Kevin Nash made his triumphant return to the ring. Just last night, when Rodney Mack nearly killed Al Snow, we also got to see the flagrant fist in the air to indicate that Snow was, in fact, alright. Anyone else know of referee signals to watch for? Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted February 18, 2003 It's kind of weird if you go back to TLC 3 and you watch Jericho's sick bump to the outside...they go to a wide shot and Hebner puts the "X" up, then like seconds later he puts the Fist up. Weird. As far as other signals, none I can think of.
Guest Caliban Report post Posted February 18, 2003 Nevermind. I need to read better. Apparently before they used earpieces, the timekeeper would either fiddle with his tie, put a pencil above his mouth, or stand up to let the ref know the time for the match was up.
