Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Pretty fun website. I have been there before. I did a few games just a second ago. The most interesting had to be 85-86 Celtics against the 99-00 Lakers. Final score: Celtics 117 Lakers 69. Ouch.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Replayed SB XX - this time with the Bears vs. the Dolphins (only team to beat them that year). Bears 16, Miami 9 I refuse to believe that.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted February 19, 2003 I threw together an All-Time Red Sox team and an All-Time Yankees team. Red Sox won the game, 5-3. Late on, I'll have to do a 7 game series.
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Oh man Vern, thanks a lot for this site. So awesome. My first two simulations: 1999 St. Louis Rams defeat the 1999 Jacksonville Jaguars 45-17. Not so good. 2001-02 Sacramento Kings defeat 2001-02 New Jersey Nets 102-69, Chris Webber scored 30 points in the win. Very good. I like the whole stat-generated thing too. I'm a total stat freak, so I'm liking this site very much.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted February 19, 2003 Thanks a bunch Verne. Now I'll lose a whole lot more sleep over this new toy... THE TEAMS: 1971-1972 Los Angeles Lakers --69-13, Second-best regular-season record in NBA history vs. 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls --72-10, Best regular-season record in NBA history ------------------------------------------- THE LINE-UPS: PG: Jerry West vs. Michael Jordan SG: Gail Goodrich vs. Scottie Pippen SF: Elgin Baylor vs. Toni Kukoc PF: Happy Hairston vs. Dennis Rodman C: Wilt Chamberlain vs. Luc Longley EDIT: Last minute note: Fuck Kerr instead. I need to go with a big line-up to deal with Chamberlain properly. West would eat Kerr alive as well. ------------------------------------------- I'll post the final results in a moment, once I pour over the stats.

Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted February 19, 2003 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls OWN that game... and for that fact, I love this game. They've beaten pretty much every team I threw at them and they've always been the away team. I want to see them vs. the team with the worst NBA record in history and see how the game turns out. Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted February 19, 2003 The 85-86 Celtics completely own in home games. Oddly, I believe that Bulls team beat them with Kukoc starting for some odd reason yet would lose with Kerr starting. Strange.

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Whose else has created a team. I made an All-NBA, MLB, College Hoops, and a Twins and Astros team. I've made an all-NBA Legends team and an all-MLB legends team. Haven't done a college hoops one because I really don't know much about great college players. Hey Vern, how did you make the Twins and Astros teams? I thought you were allowed only one MLB dream team? And note to Will Scarlett: The 85-86 Celtics were 40-1 at home that season, which is the NBA record. Probably why they own at home.
Guest Bricks Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I had the 95-96 Bulls against the 85-86 Celtics and the Bulls won. Then I remembered that it was Ron Harper who was starting those days, not Steve Kerr. So I re-did it and... the Celts win. Yup, Steve Kerr is the X-Factor

I just went to create a team and picked what I thought was the All time Twins and Astros. Just got done playing the '27 Yankees vs '98 Yankees. 1927 Yankees win 4 games to 2. Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Wow. I decided to sim the entire 2002 NFL playoffs, and there is one huge surprise champion at the end. Wildcard: Cleveland 18, Pittsburgh 15 New York Jets 27, Indianapolis 24 (OT) Green Bay 26, Atlanta 9 New York Giants 22, San Francisco 17 Divisional Playoffs: Cleveland 12, Tennessee 7 Oakland 33, New York Jets 21 Philadelphia 20, Green Bay 13 New York Giants 34, Tampa Bay 20 Championships: AFC: Cleveland 24, Oakland 23 NFC: New York Giants 20, Philadelphia 17 Super Bowl: Cleveland 37, New York Giants 22 So we get a 9-7 team pulling off four upsets and winning the Super Bowl. The Oakland game was the closest, as Quincy Morgan had touchdown catches with 4:56 left to play in the 4th and the game winner with 5 seconds left. I also decided to do a what if? involving the two losing teams from last year's NBA Conference Finals - Sacramento v. Boston. Game 1 (SAC) - Sacramento 92, Boston 59 Game 2 (SAC) - Sacramento 99, Boston 89 Game 3 (BOS) - Boston 96, Sacramento 77 Game 4 (BOS) - Sacramento 73, Boston 57 Game 5 (SAC) - Sacramento 89, Boston 81 I wish this thing had a tracker for series so you could see the stats for both teams over the course of the series. Chris Webber wins the MVP since he was the MVP in all of Sacramento's four wins.
