Why was the women's match second to last? Why was last year's Gimmick Battle Royal third to last? Because it was after the most violent match on the card, TLC II. The crowd needs to cool down sometimes, and after that Hogan/Rock match, the ol' vocal cords needed rest.

 

Why didn't the leg factor into the decision in the final match? So HHH could be portrayed as a ballsy competitor who can get past the pain and triumph over all. Don't you just love him?

 

Why wasn't Rock/Hogan the Main Event? I think we all know the answer to that, but an alternative and less pessimistic answer can be found in the Royal Rumble stipulation: The winner MAIN EVENTS Wrestlemania, which is assumed to be a title match.
