Here's the latest...

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) A plane carrying at least 250 people, most of them military personnel, crashed in southeastern Iran, Tehran television reported Wednesday.

The plane was flying from Zahedan, on the Pakistan border, to Kerman, about 500 miles southeast of Tehran.

The state-run television said the plane, a Russian-built Antonov, lost contact with the control tower at 5:30 p.m. and crashed near Shahdad, about 50 miles from Kerman.

On Feb. 12, 2002, a Russian-built Tupolev Tu-154 slammed into a snow-covered mountain near the Iranian city of Khorramabad, about 230 miles southwest of Tehran. All 119 on board the Iran Air Tours flight were killed.

In 1988, 290 people died when an Iran Air A300 Airbus was mistakenly shot down by the USS Vincennes over the Persian Gulf.

It was being used by the Iranian military...

Who were probably flying in to Iraq to help fortify their lines.

So it probably wasn't terrorism.

Nuh uh. Iraq and Iran are blood enemies. There is no way Iran is helping out Iraq.

Edit: Razor, I love the sign in your sig that says "Communism has only killed 100 Million People" with the added part below "Let's give it another chance!". Is that serious?

Well, they are already saying that one thing may play into the crash....snow.

A reporter from MSNBC has said that in the recent days, and still ongoing, a lot of snow has fallen, and continues to fall. More than 18 inches have fallen there, and flying conditions could have been very dangerous.
