Guest DawnBTVS Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Just curious why they stopped the Colisuem videos. Many weren't great but they had the occasional gems on them. Anybody think they'd sell fairly well if they began making new, more current versions based on the format?
Guest tpww7 Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Didn't they go out of business or something in 97?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 Don't think they could now...I doubt they'll ever have the older stuff on tape anymore, they can to blur all the WWF logos from the late 90s. Coliseum did all the ppvs up untill 1998, starting at the 98 Rumble, WWF home video started doing all of the tapes.
cawthon777 Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 The contract between CHV and the WWF ran out in December of 97. I think the WWF was looking to produce its own videos anyway so they just parted ways. If the WWE were to do anything like what an old CHV consisted of, then I would love to see some random house show matches from various big arenas around North America. - Austin vs. Jericho ... Winnipeg, June 01 - Hogan vs. Taker / RVD vs. Eddie (ladder) ... MSG, June 02 etc.
Guest HartFan86 Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 WWF also realized by making their own videos, they'd make more money...thus the contract was renewed.
