I'm so disgusted by Coulter that I can't even stand looking at her the cover of her book while in a bookstore. It's not that she's ugly, far from it, she just disgusts me. Truly a sick human being.

I like Coulter's style and politics. When she comes on Hannity and Colmes my dad and I make extra sure to watch as we know she'll have something witty or interesting to say.

"She didn't just diss Jonah Goldberg. He's my favorite columnist."

Oh, when she got yanked from NR (Goldy is the online editor) she said all sorts of nasty things about him.

Of course, it's not like NR has its own freedom and speech or anything (not wanting to publish somebody's work)...

You thought it was "witty" when she said she wished Tim Mcvay bombed the DNC? You thought it was "witty"when she said we should kill all the leaders in the Middle East and convert the people to Christianity? How is that "witty"? Does offensive and wrong equal witty? The only thing "interesting" to me is how she sells books.

She said she wished he bombed the NY Times building. It's interesting that you consider NY Times and the DNC to be one and the same.

Hm. You're right there. But that doesn't justify what she said.

She was joking. It was in poor taste but she was joking. I don't think she wishes death on everybody in the Times' building. There might be a Conservative janitor or something and no one wants to see one of the few Conservatives in NYC die. :P

There you go, I was joking and it was in poor taste, so was Coulter.

I don't find buildings being destroyed funny in the wake of 9-11. Heck, I NEVER found that funny. Read the other quotes, she thinks of liberals the same way Hitler thought of Jews. She's a lousy bitch, plain and simple.

Well her book was called "Liberal Lies against the American Right." And, regardless of how we want to go about debating this, there is a leftist majority and leftist bias in the American media.

I'm not endorsing hate, but these feelings didn't just pop out of thin air for no reason.

When did she say the thing about the NY Times building? I'd bet it was prior to 9/11 or she would have said the "terrorists" not McVay(sp?).

Off topis: Tim McVay was executed in my dad's home town of Terre Haute, Ind. My sister was graduating from Northwestern (just north of Chicago) and we had to drive out from Boston to get her shit and decided to visit family in Indiana on the way. So McVay was killed in Terre Haute and I missed the mob scene by one day, I was in Nap-Town. I consider it a lost oppurtunity.

It all depends on what you consider a " liberal' and "leftist." There is still no justification for what Coulter has said. She's a shill, and I think some conservatives will agree with me on that.

HUH?

"terroristS" I.E. more than one terrorist. McVay was a terrorist, but he was just one man, the 9/11 terrorists were 19+ thousands.

Dreamer, don't try to play my games against me. it doesn't work too well. :P

All Coulter does is call people names and make outrageous statements. She's no better than the guys in Hollywood who are against the war. I'll get you one day Some Guy... or, alternativly, take my anger out on some innocent. :)

Coulter is a pretty bright woman, but she relies more on outrageous statements to get noticed. I think she figure that without them she is no different than any other Conservative Pundit. Sometimes she's funny, sometimes she isn't. But she is a Constitutional Lawyer or whatever so her qualifications for speaking on these issues are better than Martin "I play the Pres on TV so I must know something" Sheen or the Hollywood celebs, from the Right or the Left.

And you'll never get me

I disagree about her being a pretty bright woman. A pretty bright woman wouldn't write her book using internet search engines. Or say we should convert all Muslims to Christians. That's just insane.

Ann Coulter probably got to where she is now by merit, however she just gets more insane with every passing year. She would be best served to just debate the issues laid out in front of her rather than have some outrageous comment to make when addressing any ideal or opinion not 10000x rightwing. She is nice to look at though, hehe, ok that is the primal male in me coming out.

I think she is a good fit for Mahr's new show on HBO since she will get more than 30 seconds to talk. I think she was taken to school on her "treason" reasoning though.

Unlike you and most skirt wearing liberals, I almost NEVER get offended. I judge people by their actions, not statements that may or may not be serious or comedic. I'm too busy enjoying life to be offended at every turn. If you want to be offended by something, be offended that there are religious fantatics and ruthless dicatators (90% Islamic) that want to convert you, KILL you and rob you of your way of life. 9/11 offended me. Not dopey comments by Trent Lott or by a superb political pundit.

Skirt wearing liberals? Sigh. It's never easy. I disagree about her be a superb political pundit. This is the same woman who said there are no good Democrats and that anybody who didn't support Bush was a terrorist. How do insults and sensationalism make one a good pundit? Nevermind, I answered my own question. Personally, I'm not a liberal. Sure, I lean to the left, but I'm not your standard "love everyone and let peace reign" kind of guys. I personally would not bat an eye if someone beat the bitch with a lead pipe.

Harsh? Maybe. But I don't take kindly to people who say Tim Mcvay should have blown up a building she didn't FUCKING like That isn't a joke. Those are people's lives. But go on, shill for her because she shills for the right. I'm not the kind of guy who defends every leftist when they make a mistake. You insult Clinton, I don't care. It matters not to me. All that matters to me is individual freedom and not being controlled. So far, I feel liberalism has beaten conservativism in this point. You don't agree? Doesn't matter to me.

What does bother me is people eating up Coulter's garbage with a spoon. This borderline psychopath has no sympathy from me when something bad happens to her (which it will). Generalize me as a skirt wearing liberal, I'll generalize you the same as a conservative. But this won't go anywhere. Someone will quote this with the intent on proving or just saying something. You'll respond with an insult or pseudo-insult. Whatever. Same old, same old.

ACTION ALERT:

GE, Microsoft Bring Bigotry to Life

Hate-talk host Michael Savage hired by MSNBC

February 12, 2003

The latest hire by the cable news network MSNBC-- co-owned by General Electric/NBC and Microsoft-- is Michael Savage, a radio talkshow host noted for his unabashed bigotry. Savage is scheduled to have his own weekly one-hour show on MSNBC beginning in March.

Savage routinely refers to non-white countries as "turd world nations" and charges that the U.S. "is being taken over by the freaks, the cripples, the perverts and the mental defectives" (San Francisco Bay Guardian, 9/20/00). In a recent broadcast he justified ethnic slurs as a national security tool: "We need racist stereotypes right now of our enemy in order to encourage our warriors to kill the enemy," he explained (San Francisco Chronicle, 2/6/03).

"Turd world" immigrants are a frequent target of Savage's anger: "You open the door to them, and the next thing you know, they are defecating on your country and breeding out of control" (Oregonian, 4/24/02).

At times Savage's arguments echo the conspiratorial scapegoating of the white supremacist movement: "With the [Latino] population that has emerged, since they breed like rabbits, in many cases the whites will become a minority in their own nation... The white people don't breed as often for whatever reason. I guess many homosexuals are involved. That is also part of the grand plan, to push homosexuality to cut down on the white race" (San Francisco Bay Guardian, 9/20/00).

Commenting on the "Million Mom March" in favor of gun control (which he dubbed the "Million Dyke March"), he dismissed organizers' reference to American children killed by guns (5/15/00): "They’re not kids, they’re ghetto slime... they’re the same kids that are in Sierra Leone toting AK47s."

Misogyny and homophobia are staples of Savage's show as well as racism. In his book Savage Nation, he argues that Sen. Hillary Clinton and Supreme Court justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sandra Day O'Connor have "feminized and homosexualized much of America, to the point where the nation has become passive, receptive and masochistic."

Discussing student volunteers distributing food to the homeless in San Francisco, Savage declared that "the girls from Branson [school] can go in and maybe get raped... because they seem to like the excitement of it. There's always the thrill and possibility they'll be raped in a dumpster while giving out a turkey sandwich" (San Francisco Bay Guardian, 9/20/00).

In announcing the hire, MSNBC president Erik Sorenson described Savage as "brash, passionate and smart," and promised that he would provide "compelling opinion and analysis with an edge."

A recent episode of the channel's Donahue program (2/10/03) featured a full-hour, one-on-one interview with white supremacist Jared Taylor. Does MSNBC believe that promoting hatred is a way for the struggling channel to build an audience?

Before you call it "liberal propaganda" check the cites. It's all there. Credit to FAIR (part of the evil liberal media).

The terms skirt-wearing, or bed-wetting liberals is about as tiresome as being called pinko-commies. However it isn't me that sounds ridiculous when those statements are made. In fact, those terms are just another in the long line of ways to get out of discussing issues and resort to finger pointing and name calling. I will admit that the left does JUST AS MUCH as the right, of all the aformetioned stuff I just said.

As for Ann Coulter, I think her "tribute" to Barbara Olsen summarizes Ann best. The tribute part was lost in her self-praise, her bashing of Hilary Clinton, and her call to invade Islamic countries and convert them to Christianity, irregardless of innocent deaths (yet suicide bombers who do the same thing are wrong in her mind).

Her proof of liberal media bias is internet searches, and even these are half-ass. Hell, based on the internet I can prove there is Satanic conspiracy sent to place the anti-Christ on the throne of world government.

People like Ann do not help anything. They profit from the idiotic, fictional divide of conservatives and liberals in a moderate America.

There is no liberal conspiracy. Bill Clinton is no longer president. George Bush should be questioned, every president should be questioned. Those who do so are not terrorists.

And as I recall, the National Review fired her for her obnoxious comments against them.

Like I said, intelligent conservative commentary can be found. Not in her though.

First off, it's McVeigh. The man's one of the most infamous American criminals of our lifetimes, people.

Second, let's examine someone who shills for the left, albeit on a much smaller scale than Ann Coulter does for the right, and some comments made post-September 11th. Eric Szulcewski [sp?], then writing for thesmarks.com, said something to the effect that he was glad Barbara Olsen ended up smeared against the Pentagon because she was an evil woman. His remarks got him fired (ironic that he and SK are both now writing for 411, isn't it?), which I disagreed with at the time and still do, even though his remarks were unnecessary and repugnant. How do you feel about the comments he made?

He deserved to get fired. Those kind of comments are unexceptable. Leftist extremists have their problems as well, I won't defend them. While I think liberalism is better than conservativism, I still think there is something better than it. Neither the Right or the Left is infallible in their views. It's like having to choose between Order and Chaos. Without one the other can't exist.

Sigh, usual reaction from liberals. If you're against something you're a homophobe. If you find other countries and other cultures repulsive, then you're a racist. Just another way (as NoCalMike earlier said about Coulter's ad-hominem attacks) of not arguing facts and instead instilling knee-jerk reactions for people to get people on their side. How about someone arguing Savage's stance rather than labeling him a "something-phobe?" Apparently everything is hate, hate, hate if you don't agree with the left. Whatever, I see through their lies and trickery.

You're simply generalizing the Left. Typical liberal reaction? Lies and trickery? Gimme a break. The only stance Savage takes is "Liberals are evil." You like to generalize? Fine, I can play that game too. Savage is just another big-mouthed conservative who blames all the problems of America on liberals. He considers himself a "real man's man" and thus hates gays, feminists, and other cultures. At least I have cites while all you have is slander.
