Jeneane Garofalo on Crossfire on CNN...

"We need racist stereotypes right now of our enemy in order to encourage our warriors to kill the enemy,"

"With the [Latino] population that has emerged, since they breed like rabbits, in many cases the whites will become a minority in their own nation... The white people don't breed as often for whatever reason. I guess many homosexuals are involved. That is also part of the grand plan, to push homosexuality to cut down on the white race"

he argues that Sen. Hillary Clinton and Supreme Court justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sandra Day O'Connor have "feminized and homosexualized much of America, to the point where the nation has become passive, receptive and masochistic."

You're going to defend those? I would say the second one is indeed homophobic. Sounds like he's gotten some kind of phobia concerning a homosexual conspiracy to weaken the white race to me.

This one is funny though. Repulsive, yet funny:

Discussing student volunteers distributing food to the homeless in San Francisco, Savage declared that "the girls from Branson [school] can go in and maybe get raped... because they seem to like the excitement of it. There's always the thrill and possibility they'll be raped in a dumpster while giving out a turkey sandwich"

I hate to ask ... but does he wear a construction worker outfit during his free time?

It's a possibility.

Yeah I would really like someone to try and defend some of those Fred Savage quotes as "out of context" or something. Maybe they could be jokes. The one about girls getting their jollies by associating with poor people could almost be a joke. Maybe if he was kidding about the homosexual adgenda eliminating the white race, said in a very sarcastic manner, then maybe I'd give him an ounce of credibility, if not find him particularly funny. But if this guy really thinks like this, what kind of warped view does he have on things like a mexican and a white person having a child? Would that pollute the "white country"?

He's pretty whacked out and it's Micheal Savage, Fred Savage was on the Wonder years.

Savage is nuts and offensive to even me sometimes and I don't get offended easily.

I'll gladly defend Savage because I judge people on more than a couple of quotes. I listen to most of his show everyday and for the most part, he is VERY sarcastic, especially the quote about the girls getting their jollies from the homeless; that's classic Savage. The guy is incredibly offensive and humorous which makes him all the more entertaining (this coming from a quarter-Mexican whose family does INDEED breed like rabbits.) If you look past his angry man gimmick, you'll see that the guy has a very simple (and tough to argue) political agenda. That agenda is to protect America's culture and values. He has seen the liberal movements like socialism, mulitculturalism, feminisim, political correctness, cultural relativism and the subsequent invasion of third worlders to have destroyed America's once great culture. Savage is a REAL conservative in the sense that culture is MORE important than economics and more important than Democrats vs. Republicans. If you can stomach the guy's gimmick and sharp tonugue (it takes awhile so he's not for you Tucker Carlson whimps) I recommend giving his show or best selling book a chance. He's a great social critic and entertainer if anything.

Wha? is this hyperbole or am I to read that with a straight face?

There's a reason why the 50's were the way they were and there's a reason the country is the way it is today. Savage sees the radical change from the radical left (the "anything goes" mentality) as the prime factor that has desroyed our culture. You don't have to agree with it, but that's what he believes.

"Second, let's examine someone who shills for the left, albeit on a much smaller scale than Ann Coulter does for the right, and some comments made post-September 11th. Eric Szulcewski [sp?], then writing for thesmarks.com, said something to the effect that he was glad Barbara Olsen ended up smeared against the Pentagon because she was an evil woman. His remarks got him fired (ironic that he and SK are both now writing for 411, isn't it?), which I disagreed with at the time and still do, even though his remarks were unnecessary and repugnant. How do you feel about the comments he made?"

Speaking as a moderate, I really don't care what a faceless Internet wrestilng columnist thinks about anything.

PS: Since this thread is about this actress, did anyone see her on Fox and Friends this morning? I saw a clip from Hannity and that loveable moderate Colmes -- funny stuff...

Newsflash: it's 2003. Check the papers, turn on your tv, buy a new calendar, do whatever you have to do, but the 50's are GONE, and with them, the "values" of segregation and prejudice to minorities, women, gays, and foreigners.

Perhaps you like those ideals and see them as something positive, I don't know, and I won't put words in your mouth, but those people who agree with those things are called "neanderthal scum."

Think his outward shiteating vitriol is fun, cutting-edge commentary? Here's some for you.

White people are narcissitic garbage who are self-centered, hold antiquated foolish ideals, and generally fuck up evolution. They probably think it's a rockin' good time to listen to Barry Manilow and burn crosses.

Isn't that a hoot?

To defend that kind of garbage, to me, is to agree with it, and if that's the case, I have absolutely no use for you.

It might be what he believes, and I have no doubt in my mind that that's the case, which makes him a scumfucking racist twat that would greatly benefit society by piercing his shriveled jingoistic brain with a .44 caliber slug.

Perhaps, but at least we don't have to worry about getting pulled over for driving a nice car.

Being the privileged class rules!

PS: I doubt the same people that burn crosses also listen to Barry M...

Isn't saying you judge someone by their actions and not what they say just a way to avoid having to defend what they say? Heck, if you didn't judge someone by what they say we wouldn't even be talking. It's just an excuse. The fact is is that Savage is a bigot.

I hope you don't mean that because if you do that makes you just as much if not way more of "which makes him a scumfucking racist twat that would greatly benefit society by piercing [your] shriveled [hatefilled] brain with a .44 caliber slug" than he is.

Just saying.

What Savage means by "this isn't the 50's anymore" is that he yearns for the days when a grandmother could walk to the store alone and not get murdered. Back when kids could go out and play and not get kidnapped and raped by some drugged up psychopath. Your rant about white people or cross burning or whatever was just wasted energy. Have you ever listened to Savage? Do you even have a CLUE what he stands for? It took me YEARS to finally "get" Savage and understand his political thought. Use your brain and actually LISTEN to what the other side says. I do, I read things by the most hardcore, radical socialists just so that I "understand" the other side. I don't like the other side, but I make the effort to understand them, rather than jump into text hissy fits just because I don't like what the other side is saying. I don't always agree with Savage (I'm a capitalist/libertarian he's a social critic that's more authoritarian) but I will defend him because I actually have made the effort to understand and analyze his political beliefs.

btw, I'm hardly just some narcissit white. I have enough ethnic diversity in me to fill a shopping mall.

Really? I don't remember that part. I remember they were in the barn and both of them started crying because they knew they wouldn't end up with the other in the long run. It's been years since I've seen it, could be wrong.

Wonder Years > Garofalo

Wonder Years > Garofalo

I'll settle this matter........

After fighting like non-stop at the some summer vacation club, they did the cliche' "yell at each other then start kissing out of nowhere" spot and then ended up doing "something" in the barn. They returned back home and vowed that they would stay in touch forever. Winnie went to study art in France where she wrote to Kevin everyday for the entire time she was there. When she returned home, Kevin met her at the airport with his 3 year old son (who we're to assume is from another relationship.) It took me like three viewings of this final episode to actually realize that the two never got together. I was a Wonder Years mark, I'm not afraid to admit it.

Back to Savage mode........

Gah. Who he is was hardly the point. The point was that a leftist columnist made similar remarks to the ones made by Ann Coulter, and I wanted to see what the reaction to them would be. The size of his audience or his relevance in the overall press was never part of the equation.

From what I remember, there was a lot of heat on Eric after that column.

I didn't really care, much like I do about the AC situation.

Who he was was supposed to be part of the reason I didn't care about what he said...
