Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Contains spoilers from last night's episode Another great episode, #7, meaning they've crossed the halfway point of the season. I knew Ronnie was going to get messed up at the end, was thinking he would die though. He's the most disposable member of the team, but still important enough to be worth attacking. I'm a Dutch mark, he's such a dork but so cool at the same time. The stuff with the fat guy was just great. I know guys like that, who couldn't get laid in a monkey whorehouse with a banana boner, yet claim to get any poon they want.
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 That was the greatest interrogation ever. Basically just consisting of hey fatty McFat fatty fat fat you fat piece of crap. Pure gold.
Guest TUS_02 Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 "When was the last time you saw your dick without a mirror" Yeah, Dutch is the man... he got a lot of respect after he found the serial rapist/murderer in the first season... especially when he broke down in his car... top quality shit. But honestly, except the past two weeks on 24, this is the best show on TV, period (Buffy is on a whole nother plateu of greatness, I don't even count it anymore). But I thought it was weird that Lemonhead was against the Money train hiest for so long, then decided to do it, while Ronnie gets green lit by Armadelo and becomes a scardy cat... But still... GREAT FRICKEN SHOW!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Yeah, Dutch is the man... he got a lot of respect after he found the serial rapist/murderer in the first season... especially when he broke down in his car... top quality shit. I actually stood up and marked out when he busted the guy. Untill then I thought he was just some dork at the station. But after that Dutch was the man.
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Dutch used PSYCHOLOGY~! to bust that fucker. Gotta love it. Oh, and Shane's drug-bitch girl is one hot piece of ass.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Oh, and Shane's drug-bitch girl is one hot piece of ass. Agreed...and Connie actually didn't look bad when she wasn't all cracked up. Any guesses where this angle with the Widdow is going to go? Vic should step in out...you know, out of friendship and such
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Right now I think the only thing Vic's worried about is getting his face burnt by Armadillo.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Right now I think the only thing Vic's worried about is getting his face burnt by Armadillo. I think he's a little more worried about his wife and kid's faces...and to think, he just got them back. This guy had his own brother killed for Christ sake!
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I'd love to see them axe Vic's family so he goes on a murderous rampage against Armadillo.
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Geez after seeing what Vic did to that guy for raping a little girl I'd hate to see what he'd do to him if he killed his family.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Once again, another great episode. Cocky Dutch is back. It seems like the sh*t is going to hit the fan in the next few weeks for Vic. Are they going to hire a minority for the Strike Team or did they abort it, saying that nobody wants the job? How will that chick screw Shane over again? What about the money train? (Can't wait until that goes down.) I wonder what the fallout is going to be with the chick cop and that Arab woman. And I can't wait until the gay black cop, now a married man, falls off the wagon. That sight will be gold. Damn, there's so much going on. And I love it...
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Oh yeah Julian's marriage is doomed from the start, but atleast he told her finally. I have a feeling that Arab Woman will either kill her or get her fired.
Guest Choken One Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Oh, I love this show...It has surprassed 24 because I missed the last two shows... So many storylines and NONE of it sucks...I only regret there being 13 eps...Why can't they give it 22 like normal network fare?
LaParkaYourCar Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Wow I thought only the first season was going to have 13 episodes? This season will too?? Maybe they figured 22 episodes would be too much.........I don't think so. I can't get enough of this show.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I'm only guessing that it's a 13 episode season, if they were on a bigger network maybe things would be different. Money train isn't likely to go down now...when Vic found Ronnie the pics of the servalece area were all over the floor...so they know the plan.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I like the season being 13 weeks long. Only having 13 weeks to tell the story is likely one of the reasons why every episode is action packed and rarely has a slow or dull period. 22 weeks could end up watering each episode down. So i say keep seasons of The Shield short and sweet.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 "Money train isn't likely to go down now...when Vic found Ronnie the pics of the servalece area were all over the floor...so they know the plan." Woah, I missed that...
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I was hoping Shane would be the one to go. Every time I see him all I can think about is Jim Carrey with a bigger forehead and bigger teeth.

I thought those were pictures of the property that the real estate guy was going to hook up for the Strike Team.

Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 "I thought it was the money train area...either way I'm sure Armadillo has a clue what's up" Anyone else thinking Vic and Arm. will team up on the $ train, only to have Vic blast him in the end?...

THat'd be sweet... but then there'd be no... I guess "big bad" is the only way to describe it. They still have to fill up one slot in the strike team, with a minority at that... ANyway, the pictures next to Ronnie where probably of both the survailance area and the property, since they're pretty much one in the same. It's going to be one helluva last few episodes...

Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Another great episode, suprised to see Arm die like that though. But I didn't expect him to be the main bad guy by season's end anyway. Who knows where the storyline could go from here. And maybe the money train is back in play. 8 episodes in, 5 left to go. This and Buffy are the only shows I really look forward to anymore. People can preach 24 all they want, but I say The Shield is the best thing on tv. Next week's episode looks great: "The Shield, Day One." it's a flashback from when Vic puts Strike team together and the captain puts Terry on the team to shut them down. Goes back to when Vic became a crooked cop...plus should have some nice Dutch hazing that happened in the begninning.
Guest TUS_02 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I loved this episode... best of the season so far. I thought Vic was going to flip at Shane and Lemonhead when he found out what they did, but Claudette... DAMN, she musta run out of her anti-bitch pills because she's on the warpath. I think that this up coming episode isn't just some random "we ran of idea's" flashback episode... there's a reason for this. Remember the discussion on why this only has 12/13 episodes? Because each one needs to count. I'm willing to bet money that we find out something deep about Claudette or someone else on the police squad... it just doesn't make sense otherwise.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Damn, another great show. I love cocky Dutch, and I'm liking this flashback episode -- I wonder if the men's room was working back then?...
Guest El Satanico Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Good episode... I loved how you didn't know how Vic was going to get out of this mess until it happened.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 I mark out for Dutch. He has become the number one man on this show.
