Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted February 20, 2003 1. Crowd was about 80% behind Rock when he came out, but his mic work got them all against him by the end basically. He has a huge new tribal tattoo on his left arm. 2. A-train powered out of the crossface twice and sold it like it was nothing. 3. Rikishi goes over Johnny the Bull with a super kick. He didn't even finish him properly. Why do they keep putting new groups against Rikishi? He always beats them. Atleast he got beat down by them afterwards. 4. Eddy and Chavo are in a comedy segment that is really weird. It is like they are on a tv show and it has a really weird intro and cheesy music playing throughout. They are walking down the street in a suburban neighborhood when the spot a lady and her baby. They stop her and start complimenting her saying she was on Baywatch. Eddy steals all kinds of jewelry from the a lady and Chavo steals the baby bottle from the baby. At the end there is a graphic of Eddy and Chavo in a lowrider with Eddy voicing over it "If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying." Wasn't really that funny to me. 5. Matt facts are "Matt is miserable when dieting" and "Matt finds Shannon very hard to teach." 6. Nathan Jones is absolutely huge and very scary. He has grown out a beard now too. He looks like 2 feet taller than Michael Cole. He says he is going after the biggest dog in the yard which I assume is Undertaker. He says the question is will it be tick or tock, tock their alive and tick their dead or will it be in between the moments of tick and tock, where we have all the time in the world. 7. Great interaction between Rock and Hogan in the ring again. 8. Funny line from John Cena to Brock "This is jail Brock, we're inmates and you just dropped the soap." 9. Lesnar just totally destroys Hass. Hass doesn't get one move in. Benjamin gets some decent offense and Lesnar finishes him with the Angle Slam.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 20, 2003 This Lesnar push from hell is really starting to get to me now. With the exception of RVD (Who never got a move in on Brock either) all of his feuds were at least somewhat interesting. But now he's just dismantling Angle and the Anglicans without breaking a sweat, and it is REALLY pissing me off. I'm going to have to stop watching the show again. I don't need the stress. Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Team Angle did beat down Lesnar after the Benjamin match until Benoit and Edge made the save. Angle put on the angle lock and Brock sold it pretty good. He also sold the arm some after Benjamin did some armbar submissions.

Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted February 20, 2003 It doesn't bother me...Odd... I am shocked. SHOCKED, I say! Remember how Brock's selling ability "set him above the rest", primarily Billy Boy? Now that has been taken away from him, and as WM comes closer and closer he's really getting exposed as a generic big 'monster' (in spite of the face and voice) with a very thinly veiled super push from the company. Oh well. I'm not obligated to order WM anyway (awaits the "but you HAVE to as a wrestling fan!" argument).
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 20, 2003 If an Wrestling Angle stresses you...You got bigger problems... It just frustrates me that this show used to be good and I used to enjoy watching it. Team Angle did beat down Lesnar after the Benjamin match until Benoit and Edge made the save. Was he able to stand?

Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Yeah, Lesnar stood in the ring with Benoit and Edge with Team Angle on the ramp as the show went off the air. Lesnar walked around and shook the fans hands and limped to the back after the show ended and Edge rubbed Tazz's head.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I don't think you HAVE to...but it's like a Football fan who watched the entire season refusing to watch the Super Bowl because he doesn't like the media created Storyline... I'd liken it more to a football fan who watched the whole season but refused to watch the super bowl because he didn't give a rats ass about either team in it It is still a good show ::Looks at the lousy main event :: No. Yeah, Lesnar stood in the ring with Benoit and Edge Ah. Then it obviously accomplished nothing. This feud sucks. Just give the man an injury and get on with it.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 20, 2003 AS doesn't see that they are selling NWO not Mania... Yes, because that's the important show. They already ruined NWO with an awful, awful card that I couldn't give three shits about. Just work on Mania and get this hell over with.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Wait! Where does A-Train get off trying to destroy the crossface like that! I hope his first match is against Nathan Jones who shoots and cold cocks his ass.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Of course it's important...It still brings in MONEY! I doubt they would have THREE legends returning to the ring in One night and NOT treat it like it meant something...
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I don't think you HAVE to...but it's like a Football fan who watched the entire season refusing to watch the Super Bowl because he doesn't like the media created Storyline... The Super Bowl is on 'free' TV - you don't have to pay $40-$50 for it. AS doesn't see that they are selling NWO not Mania... And NWO is a filler PPV with painfully obvious filler shows preceeding it. I do hope that the shows will pick up and become somewhat "must-see" as it IS Mania, but then again I put in faith after the Rumble only to be dissapointed yet again, so I don't really want to 'fall for it' for the millionth time. It really doesn't matter if Angle got the anklelock on Brock - it's too little too late IMO. No-selling Haas and Benjamin, who have been put over like hell by Edge, the Guerreros, and Benoit, bothers me the most. I really tried to not bash Brock over the summer, into the fall and winter, and in the new year, but this is getting to be way too much. Sacrificing EVERYONE for the sake of Brock? Is this wise? Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Of course it's important...It still brings in MONEY! I doubt they would have THREE legends returning to the ring in One night and NOT treat it like it meant something... It's a desperate attempt to get someone, ANYONE to watch a show that traditionally, no one cares about. Don't further fuck up Brock/Kurt for the no one cares PPV. I'm just thinking of last year's NWO, and I can't think of ONE match that had any impact on Mania. (Okay, maybe Jericho/Austin) Rock/Taker? No. Goldust/RVD? No. Booker/Suck vs the Miracle Midget Connection? Could you have even told me who the tag champs were? Tag team turmoil that ended up meaning nothing? Edge/Regal in some boring gimmick match? Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I gotta ask how you watched smackdown early. Im watching it now and they haven't even fed it all yet (just finished with the Eddy and Chavo Lie, Cheat, and Steal in Beverly Hills segment, which was hillarious). YOU CANT STEAL MY GIMMICK!!! NOOOOOO! He's Eddie....He's Chavo....they're Los Guerreros..Viva La Raza..they lie, cheat and steal..
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 AS doesn't see that they are selling NWO not Mania... Wow so all that's happened so far builds up to NWO then that means once NWO comes around Angle and Co. will have Zero offense on Brock so if they were building for NWO they didn't do a good job of that either. Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 1. Crowd was about 80% behind Rock when he came out, but his mic work got them all against him by the end basically. He has a huge new tribal tattoo on his left arm. Fickle fans 2. A-train powered out of the crossface twice and sold it like it was nothing. I can't really argue this one this much. I like the A-Train but was it a full in the crossface for 10 minutes twice or an attempt to put him in one twice? If it was two failed attempts then this is unnecessary bitching. Why did this match happen again too? 3. Rikishi goes over Johnny the Bull with a super kick. He didn't even finish him properly. Why do they keep putting new groups against Rikishi? He always beats them. Atleast he got beat down by them afterwards. Here's a quarter, call someone who cares. Rikishi is over, the others aren't. Stamboli sucks. He should have been dropped before B2 and D'Lo. 4. Eddy and Chavo are in a comedy segment that is really weird. At the end there is a graphic of Eddy and Chavo in a lowrider with Eddy voicing over it "If you aren't cheating, you aren't trying." Wasn't really that funny to me. Nothing by them is ever funny for me. Can WWE decide whether they want them to be faces or heels? 5. Matt facts are "Matt is miserable when dieting" and "Matt finds Shannon very hard to teach." Valuable info going into No Way Out. Strong PPV build up and an integral part of the show. 6. Well something for him atleast. 7. Great interaction between Rock and Hogan in the ring again. What was the interaction? 8. Funny line from John Cena to Brock "This is jail Brock, we're inmates and you just dropped the soap." Why this Cena/Lesnar underlying feud? "Angel ahma kill you foo and make you mah bitch, one day you Angel, next day you LaShawn" 9. Lesnar just totally destroys Hass. Hass doesn't get one move in. Benjamin gets some decent offense and Lesnar finishes him with the Angle Slam. Lesnar is boring as hell but can't say Haas is in any position to get any offense off on someone who can get the best of UT, RVD, Rock, and Angle. He's heatless and basic. Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I think the Eddy/Chavo segment sounds really funny, IF done right. Cena's line is great and he's hilarious....can't wait to see The Rock. Oh wait, Ithaca doesn't get UPN. Grrr...
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted February 20, 2003 3. Rikishi goes over Johnny the Bull with a super kick. He didn't even finish him properly. Stamboli sucks. He should have been dropped before B2 and D'Lo. But what is Rikishi doing? They've got no plans for him, he's just there to pop the crowd. Obviously they want to do *something* w/ Nunzio's Family (otherwise, why put them together?), so it's counter-productive to be jobbing them to Rikishi. Put them over Rikishi in actual matches, and maybe they start getting heat. It's not like Rikishi will lose his, and if he does, who cares? WWE has a very curious way of debuting/bringing back people (Nunzio getting squashed w/ Knoble in his 1st match, Spanky & Kanyon getting beat up by Taker, Stamboli jobbing to Rikishi, Benoit w/ Guererro jobbing to the Dudleyz on Benoit's 1st PPV back from the neck injury). Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Lesnar's push will backfire on him big time, as soon as he wins the belt the fans will turn on him because he is a one dimensional monster who still hasn't show me that he is as good as Benoit,Angle and even Edge. He was carried by Rocky at Summerslam, it had to take buckets of blood from Taker to make that HITC match interesting and f-5ing the Big Show was fun to look at the first time but not anymore. The only reason the fans cheer for him is b/c he is being push as a true contender, something WWE hasn't done in a long time and he is also a new face in the main event picture.Brock is nothing more that Lex Luger 2003. Guest My Eyebrow is on fire Report post Posted February 20, 2003 This Lesnar push from hell is really starting to get to me now. With the exception of RVD (Who never got a move in on Brock either) all of his feuds were at least somewhat interesting. i used to agree with you a lot but now you're just grasping at straws. RVD had Brock beat CLEANLY at KOR2002 - his shoulders stayed down for the 3 count but - the count was interrupted at the last possible millisecond by heyman pulling him out. RVD - in my eyes - won that match cleanly and got plenty of offense in.
