Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I'd be a little weary to even get excited over a Booker T championship run. It almost means nothing (He held that belt in WCW, he comes over to the WWE and gets THE SAME BELT?). Booker may go over HHH and even slide past him in a rematch, but after than I could see Booker/Nash, Booker/Steiner, and Booker/Kane, none of which would be worth a shit, and would not draw. Vince would see this as a flop and he'd get Jerichoed for a few months without any real hope of ever getting the spotlight back. No one wants to be RAW champ right now because it's pointless. Guest Super Pissed Smark Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Why not just "hide" Nash under the ring? I mean, that way he doesn't have that far to go? Although, getting him to crawl might make him have to "work" and that might be too much for him. Ohmigod man, think of his hair. No way is Nash going to get dust and cobwebs or risk frizzing his hair down there. And you'd probably need a forklift to get him back vertical again.

Guest creativename Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Funny, I seem to remember some match way back where Jericho absolutely had to get a win over The Greatest Evil Wrestling Has Ever Known because he'd lost every other time. Some sort of cage match or something. I don't recall exactly, but I guess Jericho won that one, right? Everyone knew HHH was going over in that match anyway though. Here, we've known for months that HHH was scheduled to lose the title at Mania. So even if he does face Booker, he'll still probably lose (though it's not guaranteed, like it would be if he faced Austin). After mucho interference that might make Booker look like crap perhaps, but I still stay that Booker would win if the match took place.

Guest Shanghai Kid Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Booker doesn't even have a finisher credible enough to beat HHH at Wrestlemania. Do you think HHH is going to end a 7 month title run with an Axe Kick? I wish they'd just do Austin vs HHH at Mania, their you have a contender thats actually credible enough to beat HHH, and HHH can finally end his never ending run as champion. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 HHH will refuse to sell for Austin and will refuse to put over him. Then Austin will return the favor and it'll turn into a horrible match. No thanks

What happened to the Houston Hangover?? He used it once then dropped it. I loved that move.
Guest Shanghai Kid Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I think he injured somebody with it, and just decided to stop doing it. Either that, or WWE told him to stop it.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 In the WWE he only used it on the Big Show at Vengeance '02.

Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I think him using the Bookend will increase given the Rock's limited airtime.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Nash could be in a wheelchair and then get up and beat on HHH, like Linda McMahon at WMX7
NYU 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I don't see Booker T as a World Champion at this current time. I just don't. I mean: 1) Booker T has hardly been built up. You can choose to be optimistic and say "Well, he killed D-Lo in 2 minutes. Of course he's going to win." But you have to consider that Booker T is considerably higher than D-Lo when it comes to the WWE range of thinking, plus D-Lo was on the way out anyway. Sure, it's nice that Book won that match, but it says nothing. As for the tag match, boy how many times have we seen this before ? HHH has been pinned in numerous tag matches, but when Steiner gets the majority of the offense against him, it doesn't mean much. Steiner kicked some ass, and Booker snuck in an axe-kick. Where does that just shoot him into a title reign ? In my opinion, that's as much of a fluke win as Jeff Hardy beating Jericho after HBK's help on Monday night. I guess I'm the only one that feels Booker T just wouldn't be ready to be champ right now. 2) Booker T actually winning ?! If it IS HHH/Booker T at Mania, I highly doubt the Book will win. As we all know, HHH needs his return wins and, if you think about it, the Raw Title Match is likely to be in the midcard of the night. I doubt they'll drop the World Title in the middle of the biggest Pay Per View of the year to a face that many feel "truly deserve his chance". It's something to be built up, and not given in the middle of a PPV. Just by that alone, and not even considering Vince's feelings on pushing superstars he didn't create and HHH's job quota, Booker doesn't look to be winning at Mania.... Finally, #3, I still feel RVD should be the Raw champ, considering he DOES have more of the crowd's support. You might be biased but if you listen to the crowd response, more people ARE behind RVD than Booker, plus Booker just isn't that much of a better wrestler than RVD. But since that really has nothing to do with this topic, I'll just say that I highly doubt Booker T will win at Mania if he faces Triple H. Vince seems to have a boner over screwing WCW and ECW wrestlers. What makes this different ?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 They have a month to build up Booker T as a credible contender for the RAW title.........oh wait this is the WWE.........nevermind.
Guest Shanghai Kid Report post Posted February 21, 2003 If Booker shouldn't be champ, than RVD definetly shouldn't be. RVD has already been made to look like a joke whenever he goes for the World Title, Booker at least is a fresh face for HHH to defend the title against. Actually RVD has never lost clean to Trips, so he wouldn't be a horrible choice for a champion. But then again, he needs to be built, as does every other contender... NYU 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 They missed the boat with RVD, they have a chance to capitalize on Booker's popularity. Once again, I have to disagree with someone. If RVD is consistently getting more cheers than Booker T, then how did they miss the boat ? A magical month of build-up, like so many of you think will set Booker up for the title, will do wonders for RVD's career. Just because some Smarks have started to dislike RVD doesn't mean they missed the boat....it just means they need to try harder to convince some more. In my opinion, RVD is more ahead in the line of being ready for the title than Booker T is.
Guest Vyce Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I have to agree with Shanghai here. RVD is a fucking JOKE now. He was the most over guy on the RAW roster just 6 months ago, and now he's so far down the ladder it's pathetic. He's tag teaming with goddamn Kane these days. No, it would take far less effort to build up Booker T than it would to build up RVD. I'd work at getting both of them over, but really, if you're looking for someone to take the role as top face of RAW, Booker is the man for the spot. I have misgivings about Booker going over at Mania, because, as cliche as it is....this IS HHH we're talking about, and I don't trust him any further than Michael Cole could toss the Big Show. All I have to say is, if Booker does win the title at Mania, no way in hell does he survive the rematch at the following PPV.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Hmm.....RVD and Kane are both HHH's first opponents for his shiny new title and they are both screwed in there loss to him on PPV. Now they're tag partners....coincedence!??? Call Mean Gene on the hotline to find out!
Guest Brian Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Yeah, RVD's been a joke for a while. Basically in the same position as Jericho, where he's still fun to cheer (especially the offense) but he's not credible and has stalled to the point where he needs to be re-tooled, turned, or be built up from square one. You get to the point where if you blow enough opportunities with a guy that there needs to be a make-over done because his cred is shot.
