Guest caboose Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I don't know if it's from their new album, but Limp Bizkit have posted a track on their website. It's called Just Drop Dead, and on first listening it's fairly shite.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Just Drop Dead...funny, that's pretty much the general take on Limp Bizkit (with the trendy z spelling) these days
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I thought they were dead too. Hmm, guess I was wrong.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 But does it sound like The Cure?
Guest caboose Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 But does it sound like The Cure? In a Word, No. In two words, Hell No. In three words, Fucking Hell No. It sounds like Crazytown, and that isn't a good thing.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I would never confuse a Crazy Town comparison with flattery. Well, unless Fred Durst starts sporting pancake makeup and a needlessly elaborate hairstyle really soon, color me disappointed.
Guest Eyeball Kid Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I haven't seen Fred Durst lately. If he's still packin' the pudge, he's already got part of the Robert Smith look down. As for the elaborate hairstyle, male pattern baldness has already taken its toll on Mr. Durst, so no go.
Guest caboose Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 As for the elaborate hairstyle, male pattern baldness has already taken its toll on Mr. Durst, so no go. Thats what he gets for wearing those stupid ass caps every frickin minute of his musically retarded life.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 You know, I've come to terms with the fact that money can't buy love or happiness, but I refuse to believe that it can't buy hair. If Fred Durst wanted to spring for the technology necessary to revitalize his dormant hair follicles, I'm sure he's wealthy enough to do it.
Guest caboose Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Yeah but then Fred was never that clever.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I just remembered this: So Fred Durst and his band Limp Bizkit decide to record a song called "Just Drop Dead" at a point which very conveniently coincides with the DVD release of the film "Drop Dead Fred." Possibly. Coincidence...or shameless promotional tie-in? Either way, it gives us all an excuse to look at Phoebe Cates. Yowza!
Guest caboose Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Drop Dead Fred > Fred 'People Wish I'd Drop Dead' Durst
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 What about Rik Mayall, British comic genius?
Guest caboose Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I thought it went without saying... RIK MAYALL OWNS EVERY LAST ONE OF US. FOREVER. Bottom, The Young Ones, Drop Dead Fred, the man can do no wrong.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Kinetic didn't mention it, so I figured I'd make sure everyone who didn't know knew.
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Wow, d00d, that's one fucking lot of fucks in that fucking song. Fuck. Seriously though, its Limp Bizkit. It has the Suck guarantee tattooed on it.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I don't know anything about Rik Mayall, and if his performance in "Drop Dead Fred" is any indication, that's a trend that I'd like to continue.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I listened to the track just now, and it's actually quite decent, I think.
Guest caboose Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I listened to the track just now, and it's actually quite decent, I think. After another listening, you'll KNOW it sucks.
Guest Eyeball Kid Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I can't be bothered to listen to it, but no one's answered the question of whether it sounds like the Cure. Is this new song Durst and Co.'s very own "Fascination Street"? Hm?
Guest caboose Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 But does it sound like The Cure? In a Word, No. In two words, Hell No. In three words, Fucking Hell No. It sounds like Crazytown, and that isn't a good thing. I thought I answered the question here.
Guest Eyeball Kid Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 I was trying to go somewhere funny with this, but I realized it wouldn't have been that funny, so...yeah. Limp Bizkit sux.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Limp Bizkit sux. I think the thread is best summed up with those 3 words.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 You would think that. What the hell? So I liked it, big deal.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Ohhh I loves me some generica rap metal. I sadly did not here him name drop his band or DJ Lethal, but then again maybe I just didn't pay enough attention.
Guest The Camel Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 download track - listen to track - laugh at inept songwriting and linkin parkesqe moments of track - delete track and continue to laugh
Guest The Camel Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 But then again, I think Bad Company is f*'ng awesome...
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 "Just Drop Dead" is suppose to be a diss track to Britney Spears...I heard.
Guest caboose Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 'Cos I deserve more, I deserve more, you act like a whore, so just drop dead...' I love this line cos it translates to Limp Bizkit itself: Limp fans deserve more for being loyal, but Fred acts like a musical whore so now everyone wishes he'd drop dead.
