Guest B-X Report post Posted February 21, 2003 - The O'Reilly Factor is scheduled to do a segment about the death of Curt Hennig on February 27th. The show airs on the Fox News Channel. - 411 Oh shit. He's just trying to piss us off.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 We don't know what he's gonna say. Hopefully it'll be a look into why wrestlers die so young which is something that people need to look into
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 If he does try to piss us off, I'm ready to e-mail that fuckbag and tell him in an intelligent, polite manner to eat my shit.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Is it about Henning, or more about the deaths at a young age of many current and ex-wrestlers. Henning, Rude, Smith, Pillman are only 4 who have died in the last 5 to 6 years.
Guest B-X Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Or he could just throw out "They had it coming to them, steroid fiends".
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 He should be doing a special on the death of Hennig and all the other wrestlers dying young. Hopefully this will open people's eyes to the world of professional wrestling
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Don't comment on it until it actually airs. Since I'll be in NY I'll get a chance to watch it and if he is inaccurate and stretches the truth- I'll take him to task. But maybe it'll be a look at the harsh world of wrestling
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Or he could just throw out "They had it coming to them, steroid fiends". In which case I'd advocate the severe raping of Mr. William O'Reilly via firehose.
Guest JMA Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I already despise Bill O'Reilly. He better not disrespect Hennig.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Let's wait a week and see guys. I love Curt Hennig and I love Bill O'Reilly- hopefully Bill will give an unbiased look at the harsh world of wrestling. If he's an asshole about it- I'll be dissapointed in him. I wonder who Bill will be talking to
Guest Olympic Slam Report post Posted February 21, 2003 If he does try to piss us off, I'm ready to e-mail that fuckbag and tell him in an intelligent, polite manner to eat my shit. Why all the hostility? Analyzing why wrestlers like Curt and Davey Boy are dying so young is highly viable. Wrestling is a dangerous and seedy industry that needs to be looked at from all angles. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 In a business that has people dying so young so often- maybe it deserves to get smeared
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 21, 2003 No disrespect towards Curt Henning. It just doesn't seem like Henning alone would warrant a segment on O'Reilly. My guess this will be about why wrestlers die at a young age.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 It's Hennig BTW. Yea- I think that's why they're doing the segment. Good for O'Reilly for looking into something that no one else will
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I'm looking forward to it, I love O'reily! (in a purely No-Spin type of way, if you get my drift). I'm most curious as to who he will have on as his guest(s) to speak, most likely they will be people from the wrestling world!

Guest EricMM Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Well, AFAIK, Bill O'Reilly REALLY REALLY reallyreallyreally hates wrestling. When they did the piece on Billy and Chuck he didn't mince words about the product in general let alone the gay marriage. I wonder about who he will have on as a guest (someone who writes about pro wrestling?) but I dunno how it will go. I think he hates WWE, but I could be wrong. I just hope anyone who watches it doesn't expect much compassion...
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Yeah, everytime in one of his books that he he categorized white trash people, he pretty much included professional wrestling in it. If O'Reilly tries to slam Hennig, he's going to get a lot of shit. I enjoy O'Reilly (don't agree with him all of the time; I mostly like his 'Talking Points' segments.), but he better not treat Hennig the same way he'd treat Pillman or Rude. I'd love to hear O'Reilly try to out-wit Foley.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted February 21, 2003 If it's about wrestlers dying so young no one's going to in good mind defend the business. Let's be honest few people can survive the lifestyle that being a full time pro wrestler calls for.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 O'Reilly's guest will probably be Phil Muschnick maybe Roddy Piper could come in also or maybe Bruno Sammartino can make a guest shot also
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I would hope O'Reilly doesn't bash Hennig. It's not even certain what happened to him.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I will just sit back, wait and watch the show. Then make a comment.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted February 21, 2003 He's has Shawn Assael on there for the Billy/Chuck thing, who pretty much sat and agreed with him on everything. He hates Ventura (before the MSNBC deal, even.) He hates wrestling. It's that simple. He bashes it a lot in his book. Calls it fake. He said it's a despicable industry in his last segment on it, and so if it's a look at how the industry treats it's own, we already know what to expect. I would love to see Piper come in and make Bill his bitch. I think we ought to face that it's near inevitable he's going to make a less-than-intelligent comment about Owen Hart, and if he does, Piper is the #1 guy who would start an on-air shitstorm over it. Guest JMA Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Bob, Why exactly do you like this guy? I mean, we're smart marks and he thinks something we enjoy is "fake" and "white trash." He doesn't like us--any of us.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 So? Bill Maher hates wrestling, and I still like him. His show debuts tonight on HBO at 11:30, BTW.

He doesn't like us--any of us. Um, because it's not a wrestling show and he hardly has ever brought it up. He's entertaining in getting his points across, has a no BS attitude towards telling his guests what he feels (and calling them when theyre wrong) and makes some darn good points on a lot of political topics that other shows don't touch. But of course you'd probably enjoy Donahue more (better catch him quick before he's cancelled in a month for Ventura!)
Guest B-X Report post Posted February 21, 2003 He's entertaining in getting his points across, has a no BS attitude towards telling his guests what he feels (and calling them when theyre wrong) And lots of times when they are right anyway.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 21, 2003 I'm not a "smart mark". That's such a retarded term that makes no sense. I'm just a fan of wrestling. Wrestling IS white trash. I have been to a lot of live shows and a majority of the fans are white trash. And wrestling is fake in the sense that it's all staged. So he's right on both accounts. The deaths of all these young guys deserves to be looked into and I applaude O'Reilly for doing it. Just because he doesn't like wrestling- doesn't mean I have to dislike him. My parents think wrestling is insanely idiotic- yet I dont hate them
